I asked this question because these are the classes I took in 6th grade. They seem normal to me because its what I learned. I just want to know what everyone else seems to think about this. (I went to a charter school)

i'd say the only normal ones for a sixth grader would be english and art-- the others are way too advanced for a young child

I would say that physics and chemistry should probably be left for higher grades. But with children coming into pre-school classes knowing the alphabet and numbers, it shouldn't be too difficult for a 6th grader to learn elementary algebra. As for the other subjects, I don't see why they can't begin to study them in 6th grade.

Wow. I am impressed. Not being facetious. What's really sad is that about fifty years ago that would be lot closer to typical than what you'll find now. How long ago were you in 6th grade?

Physics, Chemistry (you usually have to complete biology first) and Latin. I didn't take Latin until college...they usually don't teach that in schools anymore. The rest I could see.

I would not take Latin. It is good to study a language but maybe pick a more useful one.

How about latin, I don't see it being offered anywhere as far as language goes but it is the basis for scientific language.
