i'm doing XC and sometime cycle in mud and rain
so, i need a disc brake
but i need to change the fork and maybe wheelset
i can get a scott 100mm fork at 75SGD
and, i need to get a shimano wheelset compatible to disc brake (as cheap as possible) because of some problem
i'm currently using a shimano dual control V-brake lever

1)i don't know if scott suspension is good or not.. please give some advice

2)does anyone know how much is the cheapest i can get for shimano wheelset? (state country currency)

Hi... I don't know how good the Scott fork is, I've never heard of it. Don't go searching for Shimano wheelsets, I think they only have expensive ones (not sure, but I think that they only offer it at XT and XTR levels).

Check pricepoint, they have some good offers on wheels.

This aren't the flashiest wheelset, but they work.

For forks, check RockShox Tora or Marzocchi MX series. Probably from 200 to 300 or so.

For brakes, if you want mechanical brakes, go with Avid BB 7, they're by far the best mech ones.

They're like 65 per brake, so it's like 130 bucks for the pair, but consider something more for cables and manual labor.
