Well, the good news is that black tattoos are the easiest to remove with laser tattoo removal (the only removal technique that's really worth considering). However, it's still not 100% effective. It's also quite painful and and expensive.

The other option is getting a cover-up. But black is hard to cover, and you need to make sure you like the cover-up, because if you don't you could make the problem even bigger. Still, talk to a talented tattoo artist about it and see what they say.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do. Remember kids, think before you ink!

These liquid kits they have out now don't do a good job.......
laser will be about $100 a session and you will have several sessions,....it could take up to a year depending on how deep
and the size of the tat. It also hurts much more than the tat and
it will leave a scar in the shape of the tat.
If you get a cover up........don't forget that colors can't cover
black.
This is going to take some serious thinking.

good luck

Laser removal, But I watched a show on tv about it and they say it hurts worse than the tat! Good luck! Oh and it could cost in the thousands, depending on the size of the tat! It also takes 3-5 visits to the docs office to do this, they say dark blacks and reds are really hard to remove....

you can't get rid of a tattoo unless you have it taken off with a laser, which leaves ugly marks. You could cover it up with makeup I suppose.

Go see a tattoo artist and see what they can come up with for a cool coverup. They usually don't charge for a consult so what's to lose?

Go to a dermatologist that specializes in tattoo removal. And bring your checkbook - you're gonna need it.

You can laser it off or you could have another tattoo put over it to make it look better.
