Its not illegal in Mexico. So why don't you go there. I am sure a sick person like yourself will enjoy looking at all the suffering dogs.

Yes there are dogs that truly love to fight. That does not mean that you should promote that behavor. I have had run in's with some real visous dog. Dogs I have beaten day after day. No matter how many times I hit them. When I come running by they come out. Effentially these dogs get killed because there is no room for them. So no matter what type it never good. One of the toughest dogs, and one of the only two that has ever had the chance to bite me was a poodle. My Schnauzer pinned him down, I brought him to the pound. Just like many others.

Yes it is! If you want to know why look up "dog fighting" online and check out the pictures of the dogs involved. The losers often die because they are no longer useful to the owner and they pretty much NEVER get vet care for the horrible injuries they sustain because the owner doesn't want to waste money or get in trouble for cruelty. Also check out the dogs that are used as "bait" for the fighting dogs to practice on. A lot of time the dog fighters pick up strays or unwanted pets, not even necessarily dogs, to use as bait. It is a brutal sport and you cannot say that the dogs feel no pain.

Ok there is this thing called animal crulety, and it is a law. It basically says that you cannot hurt or abuse your animal, they must have shelter from the sun and cold, they must have food and water, they should not be malnitritioned, and you cannot let any dogs that are aggresive or just will fight alone. It hurts the dogs badly and you can go to jail and be fiined a huge amount of money.

dogfighting has been made a FELONY in all 50 states. this includes being in any way apart of them (including watching).
WHY? because it is quite possibly the cruelest thing man could ever find to be a "sport". the dogs are ripped limb from limb and many suffer days before they actually die. also fighting strains of dogs tend to be very dangerous, and are a risk to everyone in the community.
It is also this glorification of fighting that has ruined the reputation of many breeds of dogs.

YES! As to why... have you ever seen one? or a dog that was in one???? Or that poor bate dogs that are used for training??? What about the ones who get lose and attach other animals, and people, especially small children?? It's cruel, abusive and highly illegal.

Everyone has the same answer, but, the real reason it is illegal is because the govnt cannot make any money from it, so like prostitution, gambling at home between friends, etc, they made it illegal. If there is no taxes in it, it is not legal. People say it is cruel, but, what they do not realize is that none of these dogs can be made to fight, they fight because they enjoy it, it is in their genes. I am sure the truth that I am speaking here will not sit well, but, it is still the truth and it needs to be said. I am not advocating dog fights, have no interest in one or ever will, but the reality of the matter is very different from the fantasy that is being presented here without the thruth being mentioned anywhere.
