Hi yes you are right but as a trainee driving instuctor i strongly advice against havinga friend or family member teach you to drive purly because this can cause minor words to blow into arguments and also it is very easy to pick up bad habits....

Correct. You must also be insured to drive that vehicle and carry "L" plates. Your provisional licence must also be valid for the class of vehicle you are learning on.
