there are currently over 2000 questions about boycotts on yahoo answers! Many are actually calls to boycott something or other.
Boycotts work locally, but do not work globally. You might convince your little friends to boycott the big bullies around you. But in the global community , there are more people against your beliefs than for them.
Respect and tolerance are the keys to changing the world.

Well, I am a Christian, but I think it is dumb to boycott things due to those reasons because they are probably not going to be consistent about it, as that would be really hard in today's world. For example, are we going to not shop at any store because a gay person might work there? I think not. I've never heard of a Christian boycotting due to race, though. There are also lots of other groups of people that boycott for stupid reasons, so I don't get why people always try to put everything on Christians. People have the right to think what they want, and if you don't like it, then just ignore it. To answer your question, yes, you can boycott Christians if you want, but I see no point in it. Many of them are really nice people.

You can boycott whatever you want to. You can spend your money and say something at the same time. However, I imagine you are making a statement with your spending anyway. When was the last time; you shopped in a Christian bookstore, Christian music store, or put money in the church collection plate? Now, boycotts are not usually based on likes and dislikes, but rather, on ethical beliefs. If I think homosexuality is wrong, I can choose to withhold my money from companies that promote homosexual causes. If I am ethically opposed to abortion, I can withhold my money from companies that fund research with aborted fetuses, etc. You see, its not that I just don't like abortion or some other thing, its that I think it is a sin, and therefore would be a sin for me to benefit them financially. If Christians stop doing this, what will be the next thing we are criticized about? Hypocrisy?

So as a Christian, I shouldn't teach my children my faith until they're 18, shouldn't vote or participate in anything political, and now I can't boycott?
I draw the line with boycotting! Take whatever else you want, but not my boycott!

It is NEVER ok to get back at anyone because you don't like the ways of their religion. They boycott because they think it is their duty to show the world that what they are boycotting is wrong.

How many non-Christians do you know that shop in Christian bookstores? Lots of people boycott Christians. It is their constitutional right to do so if they choose. It is also the Christian's constitutional right to boycott companies that he/she doesn't like. They also have the freedom of speech to encourage others to boycott those companies. Quit hating. It's a free country.

I agree with you, but with the huge number of Christians in this country, it would be hard to boycott everything connected to them. I'd just give my money to non Christian charities and continue using the products and services they boycott.

Is it OK to boycott? I don't think it's OK to boycott anyone, but if you feel like we (christians) deserve some boycotting to learn a lesson go ahead and try it a couple of times and see if it works. (I doubt it). lol!
