You cant go wrong with Panasonic! In that size range you will be looking at LCD's. Current popular plasmas are 42" and above.

Plasma are good for over 50" TVs. If you are on the computer a lot and you are not in a big hurry I have seen really good ones listed lately on slickdeals.net. They don't sell them but they list deals.

Get an LCD, great savings on electricity compared to a plasma TV.
HDTV like Viewsonic, Winbook, and Vizio for 32" - 37",
you can buy for less tnan $700.
Try Micro Center (check internet).

Never buy a TV from a company thats not well known. The best ones are Samsung,Sony,Sharp, & Pioneer.Samsung is by far the best they make quality HDTV's consistently more then any TV manufacturer.Sony has clouding problems and they overprice their products.Sharp is decent LG and Vizio have cheap TV's but they're cr*p Plasma's start from $1,400-$8,000 and are 42 inch and above.you won't find anything for less then $1,000 is crap

Any LCD will be good and not do the burn in thing. Dealnews.com has a whole bunch of low prices from different merchants. Don't buy refurb though, they are cheap enough that you shouldn't need to.
