There's a ton of reward cards out there! One of the best choices (to earn the most rewards) is the Chase Freedom Points Visa. Unlike most cards which only allow you to earn 1 point for every $1-- Chase Freedom allows you to earn 3 points for every $1. Points are redeemable for cash back, merchandise, gift cards and other rewards. You can find this (and other reward credit cards) here:

Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!

It really depends on where you live for an airline card. The Southwest Airlines Visa gives free flights. These can be booked online for yourself or another person and used for a one way or round trip. They do everything for you and send a letter when you have earned another flight. This is issued by Chase.

The American Express Blue Cash is great if you spend over $6500 a year. For reimbursed business expenses to personal use, this card rewards you with a credit each year. We expense up to $4000 each month and appreciate the reward. The Amex Delta card was great, but now is very difficult to get tickets with the limited seats and blackout dates.

You really need to match your interests, location and cash rewards vs. hotel or flight criteria to available promotions. Many waive the first year fee and give flight or mileage credits just for being approved.

Costco American Express. No annual fee.
1% off everything
2% off travel
3% off dining
5% off gasoline (with business card only)

You get a check once a year that must be used or cashed at Costco.

Be sure to read the fine print on other cards. Some only give higher percentages when you carry a balance.

It depends on the country where you are located. And credit card companies come up with good promotions and so which is the best card at a given time keeps changing.

I like the Discover Card. We get rewards at the end of the year including free video rental vouchers.

You should figure out how many points you get per dollar spent, and how many points you need to redeem $20 worth of merchandise. This will let you figure out how much you need to spend in order to get $20 worth of free stuff. You can compare the cost for the different cards available for you. This is how I determined which credit card to use.

Example:
Air Miles - 1 mile per $40 spent. 140 miles for a $20 certificate. I'd have to spend $5600 for that free certificate ($40 x 140 miles = $5600 spent).

Petro Points - 10 points per $1 spent. 35,000 points for $20 gas. I'd have to spend $3500 for that free gas.

So my best option is to get the Petro Points card.
