I'm not Hindu, but I'm quite fond of Durga. I like that she is primarily peaceful but can really kick butt if necessary. :-)
Namaste.

Mahakali--The Savior
Kali makes her 'official' debut in the Devi-Mahatmya, where she is said to have emanated from the brow of Goddess Durga (slayer of demons) during one of the battles between the divine and anti-divine forces. Etymologically Durga's name means "Beyond Reach". She is thus an echo of the woman warrior's fierce virginal autonomy. In this context Kali is considered the 'forceful' form of the great goddess Durga.
Kali's four arms represent the complete circle of creation and destruction, which is contained within her. She represents the inherent creative and destructive rhythms of the cosmos. Her right hands, making the mudras of "fear not" and conferring boons, represent the creative aspect of Kali, while the left hands, holding a bloodied sword and a severed head represent her destructive aspect. The bloodied sword and severed head symbolize the destruction of ignorance and the dawning of knowledge. The sword is the sword of knowledge, that cuts the knots of ignorance and destroys false consciousness (the severed head). Kali opens the gates of freedom with this sword, having cut the eight bonds that bind human beings. Finally her three eyes represent the sun, moon, and fire, with which she is able to observe the three modes of time: past, present and future. This attribute is also the origin of the name Kali, which is the feminine form of 'Kala', the Sanskrit term for Time

Aaj to Ma Lakshmi ki chahat hai. All Devis emerge from Ma Gauri ( Lord Shiv's wife). In her three forms I love Ma the most, Ma Lakshmi who makes life comfortable and smooth; Ma Sarswati as without Music and performing arts life becomes dull, If Ma saraswati blesses u with singing or dance skills, playing casio or guitar, then u become company to urself and crowd puller, Ma Durga is Shakti Roopa and protects u in totality - Durga durgati dur kare. I send u Ma's love.

As someone who is very interested in learning and education, as well as music, I love Saraswati. I love her form, which is so pure and white. I also feel close to Ma Lakshmi because I feel she intercedes in a way for her devotees and is a very loving Mother. I love all of Devi's forms really.

I'm not hindu but I'm very fond of hinduism, especially ISKCON revival movement.
Among your lists of Devis, I prefer Laxmi of course. She is the goddess of wealth :)
Cheers.

FRIEND,
Good that you wanted to know some thing about Indian deities (Goddesses).
Please bear with me some time, I don't bore you.
In the scientific big bang theory too there was first an enormous energy ,immeasurable, from which all this universe has come.OK.
So this INITIAL ENERGY when translated into sanskrit becomes AADI SAKTI.(AADI= beginning or initial, shakti=Energy)
From this aadi shakti the entire universe came into existence or manifested.Normally Feminine gender gives birth to any thing..since aadi Shakti gave birth to Universe we Visualise it in Femenine form.
In any organisation you have several branches and a person incharge of each branch. In the universe too we have so many things like water, wind, fire, smell, education, wealth, diseases, death, etc etc.So to see things in this deperment there is a sub lord or Goddess .There is nothing wrong in visualising like that other wise you feel difficult to say what made you feel hot,ot what made you feel cool ,what made you wet etc.
Similarly there are Goddesses Lakshmi to represent Wealth and riches,Saraswati o represent Education, and Parvati wife os Lord shiva to assist Shiv in final Pralayam (delusion)
The Aadi sakti comprises Maha Kaali,Maha Lakshmi,Saraswati. These are symbolical representations nd they have separate peeethams (padmam=lotus seats of diffrent colours).Their functions are well defined. The Indian Rishis saw them actually with their mental powers and declared unequvocally their shape and weapons and their worship method.
Just like in human body there are separte parts like eyes to see, ears to hear, hands to legs to act, mind to think.these Goddesses are part and parcel of Aadi shakti.
They are divine personalities and we Indians see them our mother. They are mothers of our mothers.we respect them.they are the embodiment of love ,compassion and love.
To see difference in them is just like saying your eye is important than your ear.Is it true.
So All Devi's rooppams are adorable and we worship with love and reverence.Be it Kali or Lakshmi the bless you as long as you are in right track.there are no bad and good gods, as some think.ALL IS ONE.ALL IS DIVINE LOVE.THEY SHOWER THEIR BLESSINGS UPON YOU EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT AWARE OF IT.
So al are beautiful like my mother and I find solace and peace when I think of them or see their moorthys(figures)
Try not to differentiate...it is meaningless.

A Mother is a mother in any look. All are manifestation of Adi Shakti.
All her rupas are for specific purposes... i like Kaali the most... the dreaded, goddess of destruction who is always ready to destroy my sins and my negativity
It is Mahakali who remains when every thing else is destroyed
