God says that He does not accept any other religion than Islam, as He says (interpretation of meaning): {And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers}. Quran [3:85]
In addition to this, Prophet Muhammad said that Whoever did not believe in him (i.e. the prophethood) would be among the people of Hell, as he said: "I swear by whom in whose Hand the soul of Muhammad is! No one from this nation, be he a Jew or Christian hears of me then dies without believing in what I was sent with except that he will be among the dwellers of Hell-fire". (Muslim).
And if a person doesn't hear of Islam then it is up to God to determine where he/she will go. God is the most just.
People who lived before Prophet Muhammad may still be Muslims. The definition of Islam is the believe in one God with no partners or son and submitting to his will. If anyone has this belief he will go to heaven if he is a good person. All prophets and their true followers are considered Muslims.
At the end it is God's decision and he does as he wills and he is also very just. For this if a person knows Islam and denies it but also does good deeds and is a good person he/she will be rewarded for his deeds generously in this life only.

Just let me tell you something. You know in Saudi Arabia how women are not allowed to get their driver's license and they can't get the same education. Well, guess what? That's AGAINST what the Qu'ran is trying to say, it DIRECTLY says that both sexes must be treated equally. The reason women must cover up is because Allah gave them desired bodies and I would say that men get turned on more easily than women. :) BUT, that's not the only reason. They must also be judged on their personalities, NOT their looks. Also, the reason they're separated in the mosque is because in the mosque, you're not supposed to be concentrated on the opposite sex. Basically, Islam is the perfect religion, but Muslims act farrr from perfect. P.S. The reason people think it's an awful religion is because they judge without knowing what they're really judging. They never look into the reasons behind the things that seem so unusual. And I recall, doesn't it say in the Bible that women must be submissive to their husband? Why doesn't anyone mention that?

The criteria for entrance into heaven is belief, they have to believe in God. The remainder depends on the time and place that they were born. Its not easy to explain. The message is based on their ability to understand it and research and see it in action, if they see it and then the refuse then they are in trouble. If they don't know anything other than what they hear and had no ability to understand then its up to God mercy.
I want you to remember one thing above all others Allah is just and he will not be unjust to anyone on the day of judgment.

No, this is not true. From my own studies, I've found that Islam is the only religion that states non-believers also have a chance at attaining heaven in the afterlife. In Islam, your deeds and your intentions affect your afterlife more than anything else. Only God knows everything you did with your life, and only God knows why you did what you did. From a psychological stance, we develop our personalities and our behaviors partly by what we gain from our environment. If we're not taught about God or we are given a skewed teaching that causes our disbelief, He will not judge against us because of that. It's something beyond our control. The only instance in which disbelief causes a not-so-pretty afterlife is when we are taught all the right things about Him, we believe in everything we were taught, but we refuse Him just because we can. This is one of the dynamics of kufr as described in the Quran.

Q: "Will all non-Muslims will go to hell according to Qur'an?"
Ans: No, according to a ayat of Quran a person who is a friend of Allah, i.e. loves Allah, will get his reward no matter he is a christian, jew or from any religion. If a person who is virtuous, has good intentions, does good and believes in God, although he is non-muslim, can go to paradise.
Dear! Allah is the Most Generous and the Most Loving. He knows that we, humankind are week, we make faults and mistakes, so He forgives us. He loves the person who acts to please Him, and Allah never wastes anyone's virue. So, if you see a person who is good, pure at heart, virtuous; respect him even if he is not a Muslim.
God Bless you!

No that is absolutely Not true!
In the Quran it states that ANYONE, Jews and Christians included that believe in One God and the Judgment Day will be emitted into Paradise. It says on Judgment Day your Good deeds and Bad deeds will be shown and you will be accounted for your sins and for the Good you have done.
The Quran defines a Muslim as anyone who believes in One God and The Judgment Day!

i've not read the whole Qur'an(yet), but i'm pretty sure that there is no such verse in it..each and every good deed of each and every human being is being recorded, and will be rewarded accordingly..thus, i guess if the good ones outweigh the bad ones, then they do go to Heaven..Although according to Islam, Shirk, or believing in more than one God, is the biggest sin..
