I think the odds are better than a 80 percent chance that we will receive some sort of nuc strike in the next 2 to 5 years...there are just too many honked off people [globaly] with access to devices or contaminates now, that it is almost a certainty.
The U.S. is NOT the most loved super power . nor is it attempting to reconcile with any other political power capable of hitting us with dirty weaponry.
As long as the U. S. belligerently pursues the industrialization of 2nd and 3 rd world country's, the odds will ratchet even higher that some one...some where..will find a way to get that kind of thing done.
If you play with fire, you can expect to get burned...and thats a fact.

Anything is possible. Probable is a different animal. It's possible that a comet will strike the earth and destroy all higher forms of life. The probability is very low. A nuclear attack on the US has a bit higher probability, but it is still a remote threat as of today.

Thirty years from now - who knows. China will have put men on the moon and have a fully developed first strike capability by then. If we have intelligent government that tries to treat China as a player in the game, we might still have a low probability of attack. If we continue down the current path, we could be facing off with them in a war sometime mid century.

Actually, any nation that considers a nuclear attack must consider one thing, retributative strike. If a nation launches a nuclear attack against us, the time needed for that strike to hit gives us enough time to launch a counter attack. Nobody wants to risk an all out nuclear war. That is currently the only thing keeping everyones nukes where they are...

short answer, NO. regardless of who's the president is or would be I see absolutley no reason to have faith that the U. S. will us nuclear weapons on any u . s . interior the foreseable destiny. the U. S. is engaged in numerous businesses and treaties to circumvent using and production of nuclear weapons- Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, and different agreements- and can unfastened all credibility on the worldwide scene in the event that they used one. to not point out the impacts it would have with US-Russian relatives. If we plenty as invade Iran, Russia has actually promised conflict with the U. S.. With the features of the U. S. militia, many different weapons would properly be used with out using a nuclear bomb if conflict ever did start up with Iran.

bush has Helped Pakistan with expanding their atomic bomb program in exchange for their help with hunting terrorists in the mountain border area.
Except they have not helped us. If a Pakistani nuke goes off in a U.S. port city do you think bush will have an excuse ?

with each passing day, GWB's policies are making more and more enemies across the globe; add to that, GWB is trying to push Russia around and we know the scope of their arsenal.
Therefore, I'd say our chances are increasing daily.
