On Yahoo! Answers, a troll is a term used for those who just want to provoke a response. A troll has no care or concern with how people feel or who such comments might hurt. All they want is a response to make them feel important, when in reality they have no life.
People who have differing opinions are not trolls. They are just points of view. You can agree or disagree. A troll just posts to offend or to be a smart-alec.
Definitions of troll on the Web:
* From the fishing term. As a noun, synonymous with flamebait. As a verb, to post controversial or provocative messages in a deliberate attempt to provoke flames.
* a newsgroup post that is deliberately incorrect, intended to provoke readers; or a person who makes such a post.

A troll is someone who asks a question for the sole purpose of insulting people. It's not a genuine question but just someone wanting to be a jerk.

If someone doesn't agree with you, they will call you a troll. It is over-used and misused on this forum.

to xians -- being a troll is coming onto a board like this and posting researched, honest, educated opinions that disagree with theirs.
then they falg you, calim you are offensive (because you are non-xian, expressing a different point of view) and you get kicked off.

depends on whose using the term. Christians love using the term in this section against anyone who doesn't agree with them.

its when u let your hair grow long, and then make it really frizzy and whacky, and bright pink or yellow or green or something. and usually ur naked.
