Yes. Even though there are slight variations in the cars from Busch to Cup, I've always thought of it like the Majors and the Minors in baseball. They don't let major leaguers sign contracts to compete in both sports. It defeats the purpose. If the "pros" come into the "amateur" series, they have an unfair advantage and experiences.

Let the Busch drivers come up through the rankings. It's not like you've ever heard a driver who strives to be the best ever say "I think I'm just going to stay in the Busch series for all of my career." And why do you think that is? It's because their goal is to get to the top series -- CUP. Busch, while a great series for drivers to get their feet wet and show what they are made of, it's not the top of the ladder. When Cup drivers race, ultimately, they are taking away spots that could be filled by up and coming drivers.

Just my nickel!

It's all about the money! The teams that the cup drivers are driving for in the Busch series are just an extension of their cup teams! Sometimes they even use the same pit crews at both the cup and Busch races. These teams are better funded than the Busch teams. But Nascar and the track owners want them there to help draw a crowd! I say it's OK for them to race, but no points should be awarded. In other words you can't run for points, driver or owner, in both series at the same time. As a cup driver you can win the Busch race and get the first place money, but the winners points go to the highest finishing Busch regular! That's seems fair to me! They get the crowds they want, but it doesn't effect the out come of the series for the guys just starting out who are not as well funded! And yes, I know it's Nationwide!!!

That's a double -edged sword. Nascar likes the fact that "the big boys" race in the Busch series because it gives the sport a wider viewing audience and hence, more money.
Limiting the Nascar rides sounds great to me....I mean how is the next great racer suppose to emerge if the Nascar drivers get all the top cars. I'd like to see a total seperation...No Nascar drivers in the Busch series but let them be owners of the teams as in Harvick and Junior, etc.,

The answer to this is yes. The reason as it has ben said is that the Busch series had been for the development of the younger drivers.

As far as the Winston/Nextel Cup drivers being in the Busch series how much money do they need? Also are the cup drivers struggling that much in the cup series that they have to go dominate the Busch series drivers to feel better about themselves? How often do you see Dale Jr in the Busch series? Very Rarely.....

I think it should be limited. Carl Edward is winning the Busch Series. I am sure the Busch drivers enjoy the chance to race the Cup Drivers. . .but when the Cup drivers start dominating the Busch series I think it is a bit much.

I like Edward but I wonder how he feels dominating the Busch series and not doing so well in the Cup series, I think I would feel like a serious rookie all over again.

Yes, the cup drivers should not be allowed to drive in the Busch Series. It is not fair for the Busch drivers to have to compete against the cup drivers. How can you compete against another team that has much deeper pockets. It seems like the cup drivers that still race in the Busch Series are having trouble racing so they have to race against drivers that are not quite as good.

Yes,

The whole purpose of the Bush series was to prep younger drivers for the competition they would experience at the next level. Occasionally Cup drivers would sweep in and give them a little extra competition. But now with so many Cup drivers running near-full Bush schedules, it seems they are sucking up the Sponsor dollars and relegating these young and up-and coming faces to second and third tier teams that could not hope to compete with the well funded teams that the Cup drivers have snapped up so they can go have a little fun.

Yes. The more rules the better. Let's get the speed down to were we can at least get a good look at our favorite driver. It's not fair that some pit crews are a lot faster then other crews. All the names of the pit crews should be put in a hat. Then have a wwf wrestler draw names making up the crews. The faster car must have smaller gas tanks so they have to make more pit stops .Have a cop throw out some stop sticks when ever. That should keep the drivers alert. Now this will make for safe and sane racing.

Do we need to limit where and when you can work? No? OK then!

Hehehe Didn't take long to get a thumbs down. Poor poor Busch regulars. Can't run with the big dogs. What are they going to do when they get to Cup? Sheesh. This is America, capitilism rules.

They really should as both last year and this year's standings are an abosulute joke. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse than last year we get Carl setting a new record. Even if they let them race more than what you propose they could just eliminate the points, maybe let them keep the money and the trophy or something.
