NOTICE: notice the word "tales".
Quran Ch6
[25] And of them there are some who listen to you; but We have set veils on their hearts, so they understand it not, and deafness in their ears; and even if they see every one of the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) they will not believe therein; to the point that when they come to you to argue with you, the disbelievers say: "These are nothing but tales of the men of old."
Quran ch8
[31] And when Our Verses are recited to them, they say: "We have heard this, if we wish we can say the like of this. This is nothing but the tales of the ancients."
Quran ch23
[83] "Verily, this we have been promised - we and our fathers before (us)! This is only the tales of the ancients!"

Lying Infidel! Those cannot be verses from the Holy Qur'an. The Qur'an can never be translated. What you present is only a pale imitation of the words of the Prophet.
read The Uses of Enchantment: The Meaning and Importance of Fairy Tales by Bruno Bettelheim
And
The Power of Myth by Joseph Campbell
Bettelheim posits that if children are allowed to read about the trials, tribulations, successes and failures encountered by the heroes of fairy tales, this will better prepare them for the trials, tribulations, successes and failures that they will encounter in their own lives.
The role of the hero figured largely in Campbell's comparative studies. In 1949 The Hero with a Thousand Faces introduced his idea of the monomyth (borrowed from James Joyce), which outlined some of the archetypal patterns Campbell recognized. Heroes were important to Campbell because, to him, they conveyed universal truths about one's personal self-discovery and self-transcendence, one's role in society, and the relationship between the two.
All this is true of Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Harry Potter, the Qur'an and the Bible.

Well what does God expect? The only thing we have to go on is a ancient text with stories that are extremely hard for modern society to swallow. Yes there are some vague prophesis that may have come to pass, but not enpugh to live your life by. The same for the bible. I think it's terrible that without a doubt most humanity will suffer for not believing when no where near enough proof of his existence was provided.

You know how sometimes a nasty serial killer will say;"The voices in my head told me to do it!!" or "This is my mission from god/allah.....kaboom!!!!" Do you honestly think that those crazy people are speaking with a "god"? What do we know about the old prophets from researching history? Well, we know that John wrote Revelations while suffering from an illness as well as a lack of food and water, basically halucinating. Muhammad, had some unusual hang-ups as well, includeing an incestuous relationship with a young woman in his family, so he's not really that up-standing of an individual who a higher power would be likely to speak through. I mean no disrespect, I'm only mentioning things that have been documented in history. If you choose to live your life according to writings from men hearing voices in their heads, be my guest. But please don't look down on or attack those of us who don't. PEACE!!

Those words were written by some man, not any god. and if you really think Mohammed was a prophet, you seriously need an education and help. the man was nothing more than a street thug, who murdered, raped and stole his way into power, then wrote a series of rules for others to follow, all of which he personally broke. Most muslims i know don't even know half of what's written in their so called holy book. They aren't encouraged to read most of it.

I agree entirely . They are just tales. It's a bit like Harry Potter , fantastical, but only children would think it was true.

i will have made up the same approximately religious delusional human beings. Religions existed already hundreds of years formerly they made up your quran, so as that they knew there have been going to be human beings denying their crap. it is why they equipped in issues like that, to make it look exciting and prophetic, even though it has extra to do with expertise of background than of the destiny.
