Well my parents have this rule where they won't let me change out of my school uniform after school Monday-Friday. Not only do I have to stay in it, I cannot untuck my shirt either. I also have to stay in it Saturday and Sunday if I have to go to school on one of those days for something. I have to stay in it until I'm getting ready for bed, then I change into my PJs. But what is the point of this? How do they benefit?

They don't have to buy you other clothes and they don't have to wash extra clothing.

Can they do this, sure. They can throw away the rest of your clothes so that you have nothing else to wear.

What is the point, sounds like they are control freaks. Have you sat down with them, as a mature child without screaming? Try it. Ask them if there is a reason you have to wear the uniform. Explain that this increases the wear and tear on it, and that they will need to replace them more often. Also, let them know that you aren't comfortable wearing it all of the time. You should be able to work out something to address both side's concerns. Maybe offer to pitch in and do the extra laundry this causes.

If they don't have a good reason, and won't work with you, well then you have jerks for parents. Sorry about your luck. Remember how it felt when you have kids.

How old are you? I would guess there is a lot more to this than you are saying.

And yes, as long as you are actively under your parents financial care and they are providing you with food and shelter for free YES you have to abide by their rules. Until you can move out of the house, pay your own way in the world you are obligated to play by their rules and it doesn't really matter how old you are. IF you aren't self supporting you have to cooperate. You may not like it but that is the way of the world.

I guess they just want complete control of your life, and want to keep you a cypher instead of an individual. Of curse, they also could just really hate your choice of clothing. You could simply disobey and change your clothes anyway. What are they going to do if you refuse to wear it, beat you? because then you call the cops, have them charged with child abuse and move to a foster home where you won't even have to go to a school where they force uniforms on you.

woahh that's a bit weird, my parents used to force me to change out of my uniform, not stay in it!
Do you come from a middle class background? or are your parents extremely old-fashioned in their ways? coz these could be reasons if they are.
They might think that in your uniform you're not showing your body off or something. I'm presuming you've asked them why, but I think you should rebel and see what they do. What's the worst thing that could happen?

They benefit by knowing that you are dressed modestly. Yes, your parents can do that, as long as they make sure that your uniform is cleaned regularly, otherwise it could be a form of neglect. If you want to know the point, ask them.

You are certainly making an obnoxious fuss about those uniforms!
Maybe you ought to start following the rules & stop arguing about silly things. You might find them easing up on you, if you stop arguing.

It's probably just a form of discipline to them. Could be as simple as saving on washing clothes.

The point is they are in charge so I would just get used to it. I'm sure as you get older this rule will change.

It's their house and they set the rules. It also cuts down on the amount of laundry that has to be washed therefor it good for the enviroment and saves money.

when i was younger my mom used to make me stay out of my school clothes when i got home. yeah its more washing but it saves from the nice stuff gettin ruined. make a deal with your parents that if they let you change out of your school clothes after dinner then you will help with the extra laundry.

How many accounts do you have on here? I'm sick of your questions about your idiotic school uniforms. NOBODY CARES that you're trying to show off. Stop being such a tramp. GO AWAY.
