She was not in her cage this morning! My other rat who was in the same cage with her is in there though. I really need some help on how to find her! I don't think she could have gotten out of my sisters room, the space under the door is to small. I have no idea where/how to look for her! Her name is Celsius, Female, Lives with another Female. I just woke up to find the cage door open a crack, just enough that she could have slipped out of. I've looked under the bed, dresser, Ect.Ect. I would really apriecieate your answers, but no stupid ones please!

Try putting some food on a dish in the middle of the floor.
Then just grab a good book and relax and read until she shows up to eat.

She's probably curled up in a drawer or under a sweater. She will get hungry and come looking.

Don't panic and tear the room apart. It will just scare her and possibly hurt her.

One time my pet rat disappeared and showed up two days later. He climbed right up on my lap out of the blue with spider webs in his whiskers. He got lonely and hungry.

I lost my pet rat once when she got out of her cage. The bucket thing could hurt her, so instead, you're going to have to hang around, and be still and quiet. If you have a really good relationship with your rat, get some treats ready and listen for any signs of movement. This may take a while - and by the way, rats can totally slide under the door (even the smallest cracks) so as soon as you know she's in a certain room, plug the door crack with a towel. Then you have to play a bit of a waiting game - as soon as you can catch her, go for it! My rat used to get out (we had a cat too, and it terrified me everytime she got out) she would party at night, and then show up the next morning for breakfast. I still don't know what she was up to. She's probably ok - just grab a book and wait for her to turn up.

Mama rat will continue to feed the pups til they're about 4 weeks old. Girls can stay with mom as long as the cage is big enough, but boys should be placed in a different cage before they're 5 weeks of age. The boys can stay together, rats are social animals. Unlike mouse or hamster babies, you can handle rat pups as early as you like. They'll grow so quickly that you can almost see it happen before your eyes. Give mama rat some boiled egg every couple of days & when the pups begin nibbling on solid food they'll like it too. When you rehome the babies, adopt them out in same sex pairs or trios. Solitary rats often become depressed. Good luck with the little guys.

well look in dark places and never leave the door closed cause if she got out of the room then she would not know how to get back and never leave any outdoor doors open or else she might slip out. just keep looking for her and if she does not turn up in 3-4 days then maybe u should stop looking for her. if u make to much noise then u might scare her and then she will not want to come out from where she is hideing. yeah stop looking for her but keep an eye out for her. when u are looking for her u might be scaring her so just take a break.

Lay a trash can with slick sides at an angle. build steps up to the trash can so the rat can get into the can but not climb out. Put a can of cat food into the trash can. Your rat should jump into the can to get the food. Good luck

Keep looking where you have been looking, then check around the house. There are other ways rats can move through houses besides going under doors.

get a bucket about a foot or higher two feet depending on how big your rat is. Stack books going up to it like stairs leave her favorite treat in the bottom of the bucket along with some food. She should get hungry enough to smell the food and when she does she will fall in the bottom of the bucket and not be able to get out.

I had pet rats that would come to a squeak ball, like a dog toy...There was 1 in particular they liked so you may want to try 3 or 4 different ones with different sounds when you squeak them. Good luck...

Turn off everything that makes noise in your room and sit very quietly. Hopefully you will eventually hear a small scratching sound. That's how I found my son's rat when she escaped while he was away for the summer. She missed him and was looking for him, I found her inside his comforter where she had made a small hole.

My cat ended up finding him for me but did not hurt him.

Good Luck and hope you find her!
