What car should I buy for under 10,000?

I'm looking for a good MPG car, and not a boat (no ford taurus) but at the same time not a teenager suped out honda civic type?

What are the best cars for the price of 10,000 and under?

A used VW. Either a passat or a jetta, unless you want to go small, then a golf. They are reliable, good mileage, and cheap to maintain. Many VW dealers have good certified cars with some warranty on them for less then 10k. My last VW had 265,000 miles on it when i traded off on a truck. Gas was cheaper then!!!
