There are soooooooo many great places for lunch in Vancouver, you should specify what type of food you are interested in! I know of the best little sushi place that's open for lunch and extremely affordable, yet has the best quality sushi I've ever had. It's called Sushi Yama and it's on East Broadway @ Brunswick, a block east of Kingsway. Everything is so fresh and so tasty, and the best part is that you never have to wait for a table if you go for lunch. If you want to go for dinner either make a reservation or show up early! It's a fairly small hole-in-the-wall kind of place, but I assure you it will not disappoint!

There's an Italian sandwich shop on Davie St. downtown that's also amazing. They make their own bread and use nothing but the best deli meats & cheeses. It's called Baguette Time and it's on the north side of Davie just slightly east of the Super Value. It's fantastic, the only thing I miss about living downtown!
