If you want to be in the motion picture industry you may have to consider living in the big bad city of LA. I do not find it a bad place to live. In fact I am trying to figure out how to move back to Santa Monica and West LA. Being that so many people are moving her to California and it is gteeing increaingly Congested I suggest you stay in Orlando

LA is a huge area with several neighborhoods that range from dirt poor to the wealthiest in the country. I'm not sure what you mean by "disgusting", but the city is probably no worse than any other large metrom area.
You are right that it is the best option for a career in entertainment. It is also really expensive. Rent and gas cost more here than in most parts of the country.
I love living here and can't imagine living anywhere else.

i would strongly recommend putting more thought and research into it then you have done. they are worlds apart. LA is the second biggest city in america with areas from downtown to super luxury. most of LA is very expensive, not good if you cant even afford a ticket. many times more expensive than florida. it is a desert climate and very fast paced. orlando on the other hand is a little tourist oriented town in the middle of Florida. much cheaper, much more humid. entertainment in La is film and tv. in orlando, i dunno? i dont know how anyone could be trying to choose between the two.

All the other answers are good, and I will just add that climate is the first thing that pops into my mind. I've only been to Orlando a couple times, but the humidity and the bugs were unbearable each time. LA's climate is much nicer. Despite being next to the ocean, it somehow stays (at least feels) less humid here.

LA is an OK place to live if you have a lot of money but if you don't its a nasty struggle. Personally I wouldn't live in Orlando or LA but if I had to choose between the two I'd go for LA.

Yes, it's liveable... as long as you have a good job. Things are expensive here. You'll need a working car, and some money for rent, which runs around $1000 per month for a small place in a neighborhood without too much crime. If you can live with that, it's liveable.

It's liveable as long as you make about 40% more than you do now.
Housing, gas and groceries are the most expensive in the nation. After San Diego of course.

There are like a bazillion people here, so it must be livable.
My advise, to prevent taking years off your life, live as close as possible to your job.
It can be very tough to get into the entertainment industry, I've tried for years.
If they are not already, make sure you're skills are top-notch.
