follow link below , all manuals and drivers are avaialable so you are in luck:
FIRST GET IF YOU DONT HAVE THE DRIVERS, once you have drivers to hand do the following:
Rclick my computer icon,
click the PROPERTIES tab,
click the HARDWARE tab,
click DEVICE MANAGER,
on the list you will see IMAGING DEVICES, click the + if not allready there and your scanner may be listed with a yellow exclamation sign.
either way R click and a box appears, select un-install then restart the pc with the scanner plugged in and powered up.
XP should then go into "found new hardware" and follow the instructions from there.
should be ok then , BUT GET THE DRIVERS if you havent got them on disk allready

Do you have Epson GT7000 scanner drivers for XP? If not see if they are available at the Epson site.
If drivers are not available, you are out of luck.

Click on Start->Settings->Control Panel and double click on the Scanners and Cameras icon.
Your scanner should be listed (if the power is switched on) and right click the scanner name and run the Windows scanner wizard.
