I met a new ex-boyfriend lol. Ex after I got pulled over for looking too young to drive and found out he was a drug dealer. They seized my car for his crap. but anyway, the case was dismised. However, they siezed my car and my money; when are they suppose to return these things? What time limit do they have?

trueblue has it correct. You need to get a hold of the court in which you were tried and request they enter an order returning your property to you. It should have been addressed at your last court hearing but sometimes these things slip by. With the court order, you will probably be directed to the police department or other building where they inventoried the property. Bring identification with you.

Property is released when the District Attorney's office submits paperwork telling the police department the property is no longer needed for the case. Contact the DA's office first.

When the cops caught thieves that stole merchandise from from my business..They took it as evidence and was never returned!! Police auction,is where it ended up!!! Now they are supposed to take pictures of merchandise and return it to you!!

you may have to petition the courts for return of your property-

some property ''goes missing '' from the locked and secure property room...
