I don't want to use baby lotion or anything because I heard it clogs pores and you're not supposed to use it on your face.

MOISTURIZE. Use something good---Origins makes great products...that WON'T clog your pores.

Baby oil is just mineral oil. If you wash your face and exfoliate first, you shouldn't have much problems. However, I have problem skin, so I choose not to use anything oily on my face! That being said, I wash and exfoliate often, immediately follow it with lotion and Coppertone sunscreen (they make kinds that specifically don't clog pores...and so far I agree with them! Good stuff!) If your skin is still dry (after lotioning after each washing), try using colder water. While it doesn't open pores up for as good a cleaning, it's tamer on your skin and dries it out less. Same thing with the shower. Ease up on the hot water a bit. Lastly, try using facial masks--you can even make some out of oatmeal and honey (which helps clear skin of blackheads, too). I hope some of this at least helps.

Moisture inside and out is essential for treating dry skin. Get plenty of water during the day. After you get out of the pool, wash your face immediately with a moisture-rich cream cleanser like the one made by Olay. Follow up with a moisturizer containing sunscreen for day time use. At night, after you wash your face, use a cream moisturizer. Nivea offers some great ones. Exfoliate once or twice a week to slough off any dead skin and keep blocked pores at bay. You should see a turn-around in less than a month.

When I was on the swim team I just used an oil free moisterizer as soon as I got out of the pool. Also for out side I would just use son block (like 15) and I would never have dry or oily skin. M

Moisturizer, maybe some chamomile oil would do some good. Aloe vera is also good for dry skin. And I've also heard that vitamin E is good for treating dry skin.

My grandmother used to teach us to apply grated cucumber or kiwi on our faces... That's a homeremedy that I would surely recommend.

Hope I helped!

I am a swimmer also. I found it useful to go to sleep with petroleum jelly on my face, wash it off in the morning, and replace it with an oil-free moisturizer for day-time.

go to wallmart and look in the beauty section
look at the face moistureisers
you can find something that helps, and is cheap.
apply it like 3 times daily all over your face until the dryness goes away
then continue but you dont have to do it to such an extent after the dryness goes away unless it comes back

goood luck =]

A good quality daily moisturizer will help.

When you get out of the pool, wash your face with mild soap, pat dry and add your moisturizer.

My son's get this every year from our pool. They do this and it works like a charm.
