I am not sure if baking soda is best for wood floors but you can find other ways to clean with natural products here:

I have never tried it but would guess that the baking soda would leave a residue. It's also somewhat abrasive, which makes it a great cleaner for sinks and tubs, but, even diluted with water, it would most likely scratch the finish on your flooring eventually.

I would recommend vinegar (distilled, white) and water instead (and always use a squeezed-out sponge or cloth to avoid getting an excess of water on the wood), or one of the many natural cleaning products you can find at a health food store.

Baking soda is very good ,but keep the water only as little as possible. When u are through mop it again with a dilute vinegar solution . The vinegar will bubble and foam that is just the vinegar turning the baking Soda into salt and leaves the floor pickled.
