Because it isn't an exclusive curse from God; in fact,, it isn't a curse from God at all. Some animals experience a considerable amount of pain, some experience very little, it depends on the physiology and psychology of the animal. I have witnessed many births, both human and animal, and I have to say that in many cases, women are so afraid, and have been so conditioned to expect severe pain, that this is exactly what they experience. That Bible passage doesn't help; in fact, it appears to be the first written example of the kind of fear-mongering that people try to avoid today.

Animals don't have that problem, nobody has told them that God decided to make birthing painful, nobody has told them anything about it, so they don't have that same fear, but I've seen some of them suffer greatly, and yes, they can make noise, particularly with a first litter.

Personally, I think the passage in Genesis is blantantly misogynistic and really reflects the attitudes of the ignorant Bronze Age men who wrote it.

Why do you assume that before adam and eve screwed up, the delivery of a child would be completely painless? No where in the Bible does it say that it would have been pain-free. Granted, it wouldn't have been as hard or as painful as it is now, but I'm sure it still would have been at least slightly uncomfortable. Consider the changes a woman's body has to make in order to pass a baby through her body: Things have to rearrange internally, muscles must conract in order to push a baby out, and you have to consider that we're trying to squeeze something the size of a small watermelon out of an opening that's only about as big as a softball once fully dialated. If that doesn't doesn't sound painful, i don't know what does. And if you've ever seen an animal give birth, you would know that even though they are experiencing some discomfort, it is MUCH easier and MUCH less painful for them than it is for a woman.

Because Eve would have had delivery pains before the curse too. God just said that He was going to "increase" the pain for human women.

Genesis 3:16 To the woman he said, "I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you."

child/children is normally used for human offspring.Animals and humans can cheat this pain thing by having it done the ceaserean way[with little or no pain and with anaesthetic..you may call it cheating Gods curse]But then only a wicked God can wish hurt and pain to His creation. It makes one take many of these religious verses with a pinch of salt.

Because it's not from God. Some idiot just wrote down that God would make hardships on humans. All we experience in the animal kingdom from meaner creatures to US on top, is just nature. Plain and simple.

This, like all other religious texts is not fact, nor "history." Just rhetoric, propaganda, and the writings of someone who never signed their NAME to these "scriptures" and that the majority of the population blindly follow and question nothing, which in my opinion is entirely against nature.

It wasnt a curse from god, its just a cause and effect. [I am a christian though]. Have a watermelon grow in your stomach and then have to pop it out. It'd be a miracle for it NOT to hurt.

If you were a mother and had been around animals, you'd realize that the pain of an animal giving birth is a lot less severe than a woman's.

It's no secret that animals witness pain. The Bible shouldn't be taken literally.
