i am 21 and a recent college graduate. i am from pittsburgh, pa. i want to go back to school while i am in the mood to get 1 more degree - in accounting. i was looking at schools in nyc and i am thinking long island university or baruch college. the main reason i am thinking nyc is because i want to move there and i figured it would be easier while in school because i could live on campus. anyway, i need some advice about that - i am 21 and will be 22 in october - is that too old to live on campus at that age? when i went to school in pittsburgh, i commuted so i don't know much about dorm life. anyway, i just need advice in general!!

If you want to go to Baruch, then you're making a good choice. It's a good school, and it's part of CUNY ( City University of New York). Baruch has no dorms, but City College which is part of CUNY does. If you attend Baruch then you can live in the City College dorms because they're both CUNY schools :) Oh and both schools are in Manhattan.

Baruch College in Manhattan's Gramercy Park is an excellent accounting/business school, yet there are no dorms there. LIU Brooklyn campus also has no dorms. In Manhattan the two schools with dorms and excellent accounting programs are NYU and Columbia. And no, you're not too old for dorm life, I had a undergraduate roommate who was 35 years old.

well i attended baruch which is a good school for accounting
but u need to call them up and see if they will accept ur credits and what kind core or pre req courses u need to take in order to pursue ur degree do ur research because attending baruch prolong my college education

as for dorms there s no dorms at baruch

LIU on the other hand has dorms but i wouldnt recommend it its a nice school dont get me wrong but baruch is the place to be due to inexpensive and the career center will help u find a good company to hire u

good luck

Look into Hunter College right in Manhattan. I know it's not one that you listed, but atleast check it out.
The main campus is at 68th Street and Lexington right in the heart of the city.
