Father's Day gift???

Question

I am wondering whether to get my boyfriend a Father's Day gift (or whether my kids should). He lives with us and acts as a father figure to the kids, although he and I are not married. He does have a child of his own, but he gave her up for adoption and doesn't have contact with her. Should my kids get him a gift, or would that be presumptuous? Would he be offended if we DID give him something, or would he be more offended if we DIDN'T? What's the proper thing to do?

Have the kids give him something.... something small. Maybe a hand made card from the kids and a home cooked meal (by you or the kids) and served by the kids. That would be sweet, and he would probably enjoy them bringing him a drink, serving him dinner, and them picking up his plate from the table when he is finished. Have fun!

Quite frankly you need not do anything elaborate. People like that appreciate the recognition. Do something special for him. Make a nice dinner, give him a plate of cookies, have your kids actually make a card for him. It means more if the kids make it themselves rather than you purchasing one at the drugstore or card shop.

I don't think he would be offended if you did nothing. The important thing is to be nice to him and treat him in a special manner.

Nay! Presents always make people happy! :D I think the best way is you and your kids, buy present for him. :D and no no, it won't make him offended or so ever.

well i dont know how to exactly answer this but you could try to find a way to get in contact with his child that he put up for adoption its just an idea but i am sure whatever you get him will be great!
