My husband is ranked E-5 in the Navy and for the past 3 years we have been in Navy housing in upstate NY, thus we never saw our BAH, it went directly to the housing. We just moved into a house we bought in Williamsburg, VA near the newport news shipyard, and now we are wondering if he gets paid half of his BAH in the mid-month check, and half at the end? Or should it come in a lump sum once a month? thanks!

Thanks everyone for your answers; we were just nervous that weren't getting the right amount, so it turns out we get half each check! thanks.

My husband is in the Army and we get paid once a month (its our choice), so our bah is put in the check, taxed then taken back out as an allotment, gotta love housing since it went private (please note sarcasm)

They take all of your basic pay plus all of your entiltements, BAH, BAS, seapay, whatever and divide it by two. Then you get half on the 1st and the rest on the 15th.

Just like everything else, you'll get half of your BAH each pay check.

It was split and given in both pays when my hubby was in the Marines. He retired after 20 years in 2003.
