I am almost 16, and I am a boy. One day I was day dreaming (I do this all the time, especially when I'm supposed to be concentrating) and all of a sudden this old schoolmate came to mind, I don't know what caused his name to pop into my head, all of a sudden it was there. Then that night, well it could have been a couple nights after, I had a dream, I can't remember what it ws about, but he was in it. I had a picture of him from a few years back, but when I went looking for it, I couldn't find it.

Well essentially, you dreams tend to draw their content influences from things that have been in your conscious mind during your waking hours. They are generally the product of your subconscious mind making a bit of a mess of the stuff your conscious mind handles with ease.

Having a daydream is not the same as having an actual dream. A daydream is your conscious mind going off on a tangent while you are awake, so it is only natural that thoughts you have had while awake with your conscious mind would end up in your actual dreams at some stage, especially if you found it strange enough to have daydreamed them in the first place.

That thought of your friend created a kind of marker in your conscious mind, it stood out from the millions of other thoughts your conscious mind had during that day. So it turned up in your dream.

As far as not being able to find the picture of him, I would be inclined to say that this has no spooky relevance to your dream whatsoever. You have probably just lost the photograph.

Sweet Dreams !!

It's right here: I run a lemonade stand. I make very good lemonade. I sell my lemonade to the kids across the street who do puppet shows. The money I earn is used to buy lemons from Johnny and Sally down the street. They use some of this money to help take care of their lemon trees. Some of the profit I use to buy school supplies for my little brother, and some of it I use to pay for admission to the puppet show. Johnny and Sally often join me, because we like the puppet shows. All of us are friends, and all of us are each others customers and vendors, doing the best we can. That's the American Dream. Unfortunately, as of lately, the neighborhood bullies have been coming by with their baseball bats and taking money out of our cigar boxes, so we don't have enough to keep our businesses healthy. They say they need the money cuz they're poor, or that they need to share it with the lazy kids down the street who just play video games every day. That IS NOT the American dream.

Your post is somewhat vague... that this person is described as an "old" schoolmate, sounds like he is not currently in your life, one of you moved away or something. Perhaps you are just remembering and missing him. It's possible that he was thinking about you, and missing you, and you picked up on it telepathically..... you could try looking him up through classmates.com maybe, if you want to get in touch with him....

I think that something triggered your subconcious to think of him, and your subconciuos brought him to mind. When you were day dreaming and sleep-dreaming...
