Apparently you've never had fibromyalgia or you wouldn't be making such judgments. And no, there are no magic pills to cure it.

Doctors of rheumatology diagnose Fibromyalgia by eighteen trigger points. Usually people have at least eleven of the eighteen trigger points. This is a very real problem and effects over five percent of the population of the USA. They will prescribe antidepressants and some sort of medication for inflammation And pain. there are many different ways to treat Fibromyalgia. Acupuncture helps, chiropractic treatments and massage therapies definitely help this condition.

The Fobromyalgia Help Book:Practical Guide to Living better With Fibromyalgis by Jenny Fransen, R.N. and I.Jon Russell,M.D,Ph.D
Fibromyalgia&Chronic Myofacial Pain Syndrome:A Survival Manual by devin Starlanyl M.D and Mary Ellen Copeland,M.S.,M.A.
Before i was diagnosed with it back in 1999 I had never even heard of Fibromyalgia.

You've got to be kidding. This is a crippling condition that leads to some people losing their jobs and their families and their ability to walk. Check out some of the recent research here:
http://fibroresearch.blogspot.com
It shows a variety of physiological differences in fibromyalgia patients, from hormone levels to pain receptors to the pain-processing center of the brain.
Also research shows fibromyalgia patients are quite often Type A personalities (very driven and energetic and goal-oriented)... and are often thin. So your hypothesis is clearly based in nothing but your desire to bait people.
Also, Brent A is entirely incorrect - There is not one correct part of his statement. Fibromyalgia does not create any such changes in the muscle tissue, only in the pain-processing system of our bodies (neurological malfunctioning).

Well, my doctor did diagnose my fibro but there is no sure medical blood tests or such. I am not fat or lazy and I know of other fibro people who are not fat or lazy. I work very hard--for my age. I stay very active. This seem to help the fibro. Also I have heard that artificial sweetners seem to make the hurting worse. I take nothing for the fibro--with the exception of an ocassional pill for sleep. Sleep--deep and good sleep is very important for fibro. Weather can affect me also.

There is a test for fibromyalgia but its all over the internet and people just have to find out where the tender spots are located and go to a doc and when he touches that spot say ouch. I have someone in my family who doctor shops and gets all kinds of pain meds from all different doctors saying she's had all kinds of things, kidney stones, migraines, ulcers, now fibro. She is getting percocets now. I've tried talking to her but she won't listen. A good doctor would see through this, and there are good doctors out there and they really can diagnose fibro.

Oregano oil has been found to offer relief from fibromyalgia when a few drops are added to a beverage and consumed for 15 days. It is full of minerals that help restore the body's proper chemical balance.

Well... funny thing here (haha) fibermyalgia is the softening and break down of muscle fiber... usually due to and replaced by fatty tisue rather than muscle scarring tissue like a normal person. Filling in the gaps with fatty tissue makes the muscle weak as a normal person when a muscle fiber tears or stretches its replaced by more dense muscle and cologen making it stronger.
So yeah being fat and lazy is kind of the cause of fibermyalgia a lot of the time...
