I agree with Al Gore and believe that more positive actions needs to be taken sooner rather than later, the longer we delay the worse the problem becomes and ultimately becomes harder and more costly to deal with.

The summit was an opportunity for the most powerful nations to form sopme kind of framework for addressing global warming but appears to have been little more than a talking shop.

Interestingly, there was a question posted on here prior to the G8 meeting asking what the outcome would be. Myself and others answered it and our predictions have been verified.

We know what the problem is, we know what the cause is, we know what the solutions are. It's time for less talk and more action.

Al Gore’s interest in global warming is purely financial. So he’ll take any opportunity to get a bit of publicity and this is just another example.

Unsurprisingly, the article you link to mentions his Live Earth concerts…

“The former U.S. Democratic presidential candidate is spearheading efforts to get the world of pop music to back his crusade with the Live Earth concerts on July 7, which will be held in numerous cities around the world.”

…which will do precisely nothing to prevent global warming, but will gross Al Gore over £5 million for the London concert alone!

Clearly, his comments were just an effort to publicise his up-coming, latest money-making project.

Read Gore's new book The Assault on Reason. His concerns and analysis go beyond the environment.

Regardless of who said it, the fact is that Bush blocked any real action on global warming at the G8 meeting.

For years he denied it was real. Now he says:

"OK, you got me. With the overwhelming scientific information proving it's real I can no longer deny global warming. So my new plan is....

to delay any action until after I leave office.

And just who is Al Gore? The US have been burying their head in the (polluted) sand for far too long and need to get in line

Al and his cronnies thought they would've had this rapped up by now. Seems he's had a little set back. Now he want's another crack at us by getting an extension to his plan passed 2012. Oh well that gives us a little more time to expose this scam. Farm animals have been found not be a contributor to temperature rise. Now all we have to do is prove the rest to be false.

Who cares what Al Gore thinks. If history has taught us anything, it's that politicians are two things...LIARS and THIEVES!! and the ones who aren't end up assassinated. Scientists who are in co-hoots with politicians are usually after one thing...GOVERNMENT FUNDING! and will manipulate data to show results they want. The general population is so gullible it make me f**king sick.

The current phase of Global warming started about 20,000 years ago, how can the motor car have caused it?

And he should. It was nothing more than a meeting that is leading to a death sentence for all of us.
