They are really two separate issues.
The Ozone layer blocks Ultraviolet rays. When the Ozone layer is destroyed, harmful Ultraviolet rays can penetrate the atmosphere
Global Warming is caused by the greenhouse effect where sunlight penetrates the atmosphere and upon striking an object is converted to heat. The greenhouse gases do not permit the heat to radiate back out to space. This results in excessive warming of the earth.
Where people often confuse the two issues is that some of the chemicals that destroy the ozone layer also act as greenhouse gases

Not easy to answer in a short reply but very briefly...
Global warming is the gradual trend in increasing temperatures around the globe over a long period of time.
The primary cause of the recent rapid warming is an increased accumulation of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. These gases are able to trap heat from the sun - in short, heat from the sun can enter our atmosphere but some of it is prevented from leaving again. The more greenhouse gases there are the more heat is retained. There are natural cycles as well and in the past these have been the sole cause of global warming and cooling, the difference now is that the planet is warming many times faster than has ever before been known.
How can we prevent it? To prevent global warming means radical solutions are required, we either have to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions to a level that can be handled by natural cycles or we have to look at ways to engineer our climate.
To reduce levels to within natural tolerances would mean a cut so drastic that we'd effectively have to give up transport, power, mining, quarrying, much of our industry and agriculture; effectively we'd need to go back to the Middle Ages.
The alternative is to develop schemes that remove greenhouse gases from the atmosphere or reduce the warming effect of the sun, several such schemes are under consideration.
We can take steps to reduce the effects of global warming by conserving energy, recycling and considering our 'carbon footprint'. There are also ways individuals and organisations can offset their carbon emissions. These measures won't prevent global warming but they will reduce the effects and could buy us the time we need to develop alternatives.

It is an outright lie, lead by fools and charlatans who hope to scare the American public into destroying our ecomny. I base this on the following facts that any 5th grader can easily check out if they really want to know the truth, instead of being lead by the nose like a complete fool.
1. The alarmist claim that burning fossil fuels is the cause of recent warming, however most of the warming took place before most of the increase of CO2. There was actually a significant cooling period from the mid-1940s to the late 1970s, while CO2 was increasing rapidly, and there was another increase from 1979 to 1998. In fact there has been no warming since 1998 – an eight-year period, and even a slight statistically cooling, despite the fact that CO2 has continued to rise.
2. The correlation between co2 emissions effecting global warming is extremely small compared to the correlation between global temperature and sun cycles. The sun cycles affect temperature in two ways first by the cycling up and down of actual heat energy that is emitted by the sun. This has a small effect on global temperature. The more important one is cycling in solar winds. Solar wind blocks cosmic radiation from coming into the Earth’s atmosphere. The more cosmic rays come in the more low level clouds there are and low-level clouds reflect solar heat energy back into space. If there are more clouds the earth is cooler and if there are fewer clouds, the earth is warmer. As solar wind cycles up cosmic rays cycle up and down in reverse and clouds up and down. So the solar window is very important to earth’s temperature, but you will not change.

Each year scientists discover that the Earth's temperature is increasing by about 0.5 degrees. This is due to us, the inhabitants of the planets. It all has to do with the atmosphere. Driving a car, opening a refrigerator, and polluting, are just a few ways that we bring harm to the atmosphere. So if the temperature continues to increase for the next 50 years, we'll be burning. You think that summer is hot now? It'll be even hotter next year, and the next year, and the next year. Unless we cut down completely on electricity, there's not much that we can do about global warming. But closing the refrigerator REALLY fast could help.

Today, scientists have proved that the use of fossil fuels may be disastrous for the future of the earth. The increased concentration of carbon-dioxide in the air,Greenhouse effect, has resulted in an increase in the earth's temperature. This phenomenon of rise in temperature due to increased concentration of carbon dioxide in the air is called GLOBAL WARMING.
There is one more definition for global warming:--
Greater the amount of carbon dioxide gas in the atmosphere or thicker the carbon dioxide layer, greater will be the insulation effect and greater will become the temperature of the Earth.this is called global warming.
The two consequences of global warming are:-
1)Hole in the ozone layer or dew to greenhouse effect
2)Increase in temperature
Causes of global warming are:--
1)this could cause the ice at the poles to melt and raise the level of the seas al over the world.
2)Many coastlines would flood and low-lying towns and cities would be in the danger of drowning.
To overcome this problem, many countries are making their cars more fuel-efficient and taking other steps to curtail the amount of greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere.

Some gases ("greenhouse gases") let sunlight in, which warms the Earth, and then block that heat from leaving. That's the "greenhouse effect", and it's a natural thing, mostly caused by water vapor.
Man is making excessive amounts of greenhouse gases, mostly by burning fossil fuels. That causes the delicate natural balance to go out of whack and the Earth warms. That's global warming.
It won't be a Hollywood style disaster. Gradually coastal areas will flood and agriculture will be damaged. But it will be very bad. Rich countries will cope, but it will take huge amounts of money. In poor countries many people will die of starvation, but not all of them.
Most scientists say, in 20-50 years. But we need to start right now to fix it, fixing it will take even longer than that.
Ways to fix it include: conserving energy, developing sources of energy other than fossil fuels; nuclear, solar, wind, biofuels. More here:

car pool and use more friendly to the envirnoment things. oh yeah global warming is bad!!! the ozone is O3 molecules which take a very long time to form. thier is a chemical CRC which in a sence eats the O3 molecules, this means thiers less ozone whinch means more heat and ultraviolet light gets to the earth causing harm to us humans and melting the ice in the north and south poles. Basicly, people are going to get skin cancer easier in 10 or more years and any cities and towns on the water like mine will be eventually in the ocean as the water rises. so do more stuff to help the envirnoment, i don't want to be a red fish!!!

if you want to learn about this phenomenon you HAVE to see the movie which is called: inconvenient truth.
trust me you will learn everything about this and you will be shocked . it shows what are the causes and the most important what are the results and of course how we can prevent it.
but just to let you know.
when the air is full with carbon dioxide ( CO2) well that is a problem. and of course cars and factories are the ones who emit this. but the point is that CO2 makes the air hotter and then the whole system of our enviromnent will have problems that we see today.
but with the movie you will understand better.
