Those are the words spoken by Angel Gabriel and the cousin of Mother Mary.
We repeat the words of praise to Mother Mary.. But it doesn't mean we are worshiping Mother Mary as we are worhiping God.. It is to honor Mary as our Mother. And we ask her to interceed for us.
To help use... To protect us.. To walk with us when we die and lead us to Heaven. Just as a mother to her child.
Eve is the mother of the human race, she has brought death. Mother Mary is the mother of all Christians, She has brought Life (Jesus).
We repeat it over and over again just as the angels in Heaven repeat in singing Holy... Holy.. Holy..
The Holy Rosary is a very powerful tool for us Catholics.
Our Mother Mary will never lead us astray.. We just raise our hand for her to hold us.
Do you agree that when you step on a snake the snake will hate you very much?
Do you believe that the woman who step on the serpent's (devil) head is Mother Mary? And so the serpent(devil) hates Mother Mary very much?
What are the Christian denomination that honor Mother Mary? The serpent will never honor Mother Mary... Are you going to join with him?
Some denominations are bible based.
Remember always Jesus didn't come here and wrote the bible. Jesus came and built the Church. Would you believe that Jesus will build a Church that will just vanish in time?
The Catholic Church is the only Apostolic Church. The one Jesus founded. Saint Peter the apostle is our first Pope. The early christians are Catholics. Saint Igantius of Antioch is the first to write the "Catholic Church". Link below..
The Church has authority over the bible not the other way around. Same as man is not made for sabbath but sabbath is made for man.
Approach your friend for convertion, your friend will gladly do the honor to help you.. Trust me when you get you first communion... You will really feel the grace. You will really appreciate it than saying your sins directly to God. Saying your sins to God and letting the priest hear it then the priest is there to pray with you. Wouldn't it be better now that there is someone praying for you. The priest are servants of the parish. It is their obligation to pray for your sins.
Trust me. I will help pray for your covertion.
God bless!

The Hail Mary prayer is part of the rosary devotion, which contrary to popular belief, is actually centered on Jesus Christ and on God's plan for our redemption.
During the typical 15 minutes required to complete a rosary, one has the opportunity to immerse themselves in the greatest mysteries of the Christian faith, and to meditate on the scriptures.
In this case, the rosary is based on the gospel of Luke, and makes use of the God inspired words of Gabriel, Mary, and Elizabeth, which constitute the bulk of the "Hail Mary" prayer.
A big added benefit is that most people who spend 15 minutes praying the rosary are very pleased to discover that they committed no sins during that short time.

The only thing to add is that what you experienced was NOT a Catholic Mass, but a group of people gathering to pray the Rosary. Some, but not all churches do this before Mass. The Catholic Mass is totally different.

"Hail Marys" are done when reciting the rosary. The repeating of fifty-three Hail Marys every time the rosary is recited flies in the face of Jesus’ express condemnation of saying the “same things over and over again.” Its widespread use outside of professedly Christian lands argues that its origin is pagan. And the same must also be said regarding its associated features, the exaltation of Mary, the offering of indulgences for saying the rosary, the crediting of victories to it and its claimed power to decrease purgatorial suffering. None of these find any support in the Scriptures, but they do find parallels in pagan religions.
Does God’s Word authorize such repetitious praying? No. Jesus said: “But when praying, do not say the same things over and over again, just as the people of the nations do, for they imagine they will get a hearing for their use of many words. So, do not make yourselves like them, for God your Father knows what things you are needing before ever you ask him.” How well Jesus knew the human tendency to want to repeat prayers! And, in view of his warning, the fact that the use of the rosary is widespread among the people of the nations carries no weight with it whatsoever!—Matt. 6:7, 8.

There are no significances at all. Not only is this idolatry but it is also necromancy. That is why I left the catholic church and renounced ever being a catholic. I am now a born again Bible believing Christian. Nowhere in the Bible does it say to say that kind of prayer or use a rosary to say it.

It is a prayer of intercession. Repeating it is a means of showing devotion.

instead of praying to The Father, as Jesus says for us to do, they pray to the Virgin Mary. Because she was/is the one who gave birth to our savour they hold that in higher esteem

It is a mantra originally dedicated to the gnostic goddess Sophia; refurbished and modified to suit vatican fans.
