It doesn't matter how you zero your scope. The zero, just like with numbers is just a starting point. No matter where you shoot, unless it is the same place, same conditions, you will be off some. If shooting out doors and there is wind you can feel, it will be way off. Set it and forget it. When your first shot is fired, you will know where to aim to put the next one on target. With practice reading the conditions, you can put the first shot and every other shot on the target.

No. You can use a laser to help bore sight the rifle, but this is only an approximation, you need to actually shoot at a target to ensure the sights are properly adjusted. A laser pointer that does not have a proper mount will do you no good.

The thing you need to do is pick a distance you usually shoot at, for example 15 meters. Then you can either use hold over (hold the sights higher or lower) or adjust the sights for different distances.

The key here is practice practice practice. There is no substitute for lots of practice. Get a few thousand pellets and practice until you are able to hold steady, estimate range, and have good trigger control.

About the only use for a laser is for point shooting without using sights. While it might come in handy when shooting in total darkness, sights are better for almost all other situations.
