Christianity is the Jewish church continuing into the New Testament period. In the Old Testament they look forward to the coming of Christ, in the New Testament we have the fulfillment of Christ, and we now look back at this event. So in the full sense Christianity is from the very beginning of history, when Jesus was first promised in Genesis 3:15.

Christianity is a post-zoroastrian, ostensibly monotheistic, though the veneration of the trinity and saints casts some doubts on that aspect, religion that was created in the late first century AD, after the Council of Jamnia, the Jewish convocation that expelled Judeo-Christians and Nazarenes from the Jewish faith due to the Hellenization of the sect. Prior to that it regarded itself as being a sect of Judaism.

Christianity was formally accepted in the Roman Empire in the 4th century AD, following Constantine's conversion. The post-Apostolic church between the end of the 1st century and the 4th century was controlled by bishops (or metropolitans) who met at councils to establish doctrine and develop theology. The Council of Nice, held in the 9th century was one of the most critical ones, as it led to the schism between the Catholic (Western Patriarchy) and Orthodox (Eastern Patriarchies) christian churches, due to a dispute ove whether the trinity ranked equal with one another (Catholic doctrine) or weere ranked in order (Orthodox doctrine). It wasn't until the reformation, and the establishment of numerous protestant churches that another major split occured, as groups accepting the authority of the bible, rather than that of the Pope (The Western Patriarch), or in the case of Henry VIII of England, rejecting the power of the pope for social and political reasons, led to more divisions in the christian faith.

After Jesus Christ's ascension to heaven (33AD), his followers had to stay in Jerusalem.
There they received the Holy Spirit (Pentecost).
After that they explained to many Jews that Jesus was the Messiah they were waiting for, based on the Old Testament (Tenach for the Jews). These believed them and became followers of Christ.
Churches were formed so people could come together to worship God, learn more about Him and to build up friendships (support).

After that these followers went throughout the world to spread the great news.
In fact, the great news wasn't only a message, but was also confirmed by miracles.

These miracles are still performed nowadays, and I believe that they will increase, because people are standing up and are believing again in the work of the Holy Spirit.

The church has been dull and spiritually dead (even though in western countries there might be a lot of church attenders).
Now there's a revival, and God is at work again!!!!!!!!

For more info, you may mail me.

God bless.

Here is the true origin of christianity.

+++Jesus, the true founder of the gnostics/nazarenes+++

Jesus and the disciples were the true founders of the gnostics and nazarenes.

See:
http://one-faith-of-god.org/new_testament/apocrypha/nazarenes/nazarenes_0010.htm

In essence Jesus taught through his gnostic texts:

+ The god of the Old testament, the "jealous god", the "vengeful god" that demanded sacrifices, that demanded blood and war was actually satan pretending to be god.

+ The true God, is the father of all things, a loving universal god who would never display willing hatred towards any of his creations.

+ The Sadducee High Priests, the religious leaders hide behind white robes and words of holiness, but in fact were evil satanists who practiced black magic and human sacrifice.

+ The way to salvation is through self knowledge and the respect of all knowledge, not the promotion of ritual and ignorance of the double speaking satanists.

+++Paul of Tarsus and Christianity+++

+Paul of Tarsus and the Sadducee Jewish High Priests formed the parasitic religion of christianity including the false scriptures listed as the "Bible", especially the New Testament.

+ It was designed to specifically "consume and destroy" the true religion of Jesus. That is why to this day, christianity remains the most successful parasite in "consuming and destroying" other belief systems.

+Paul hated women, hated them with a passion and considered them worse than slaves and domestic animals.
See:
http://one-faith-of-god.org/new_testament/apocrypha/founders_christianity/founders_christianity_0010.htm

+So when Catholic apologists, pr agents and spin doctors say Jesus chose men and so the church follows his tradition, it is really Paul they follow.

+And when christians quote the Bible that only men were the founders of christianity, they refuse to acknowledge the true teachings of Jesus in the gnostic texts.

+++WWJD? What would Jesus Think?+++

+ Jesus has been continually mis-represented thanks to Paul of Tarsus for 2000 years.

+ Above all that people who falsely claim to be speaking in his name stop.

Most of the Christian myth was invented by Saul of Tarsus in the mid-first century. Saul, known to Christians as the apostle Paul, was the first to write about Jesus in about AD 50, even though he never met him in real life. Paul's letters describe Jesus asthe Christ and savior but do not mention most of what we know as the Jesus story; there is no virgin birth, miracles, entry into Jerusalem, trial, etc -- only a crucifixion, resurection and ascention. Twenty years later, Mark, another man who probably never met Jesus, wrote the first Gospel based on Paul's writings and myths from various other religions. There is not one single characteristic attributed to Jesus that is not (coincidentally) found in other religions. The Gospels were all written at least 40 years after the supposed time of Jesus' death, and consequently were certainly not written by anyone who had ever known him. It is most probable that they are a complete fabrication and that Jesus never existed at all, or at best that the stories were passed around--and changed and exaggerated--before finally being set on paper.

For great information, see the God Who Wasn't There by Brian Flemming or read the Mythmaker: Paul and the invention of Christianity by Hyam Macoby.

The church was born on Pentecost Sunday and the Apostles began to implement the command given by Christ to preach the Gospel to all nations and to forgive sins.

Dear Friend,

The Christian Church was born on Pentecost in around 33AD, when the followers of Jesus gathered upstairs for one of their fellowship meetings and received the promised Holy Spirit:

Acts 2
The Holy Spirit Comes at Pentecost
1When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues[a] as the Spirit enabled them.

But they were first called Christians here:

Acts 11:26
and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch

God Bless

Christianity was born in Bethlehem, around the beginning of the 1st century AD, when God became a man in order to destroy the forces of evil, redeem mankind, and make peace between man and God.

Here's all the details of The Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ ... according to the flesh (traditionally, to be publicly and joyously proclaimed, in song or chant, on Christmas Eve, just prior to the beginning of midnight Mass, by a bishop, priest, or deacon):

The twenty-fifth day of December.
In the five thousand one hundred and ninety-ninth year of the creation of the world
from the time when God in the beginning created the heavens and the earth;
the two thousand nine hundred and fifty-seventh year after the flood;
the two thousand and fifteenth year from the birth of Abraham;
the one thousand five hundred and tenth year from Moses
and the going forth of the people of Israel from Egypt;
the one thousand and thirty-second year from David's being anointed king;
in the sixty-fifth week according to the prophecy of Daniel;
in the one hundred and ninety-fourth Olympiad;
the seven hundred and fifty-second year from the foundation of the city of Rome;
the forty second year of the reign of Octavian Augustus;
the whole world being at peace,
in the sixth age of the world,
Jesus Christ the eternal God and Son of the eternal Father,
desiring to sanctify the world by his most merciful coming,
being conceived by the Holy Spirit,
and nine months having passed since his conception,
was born in Bethlehem of Judea of the Virgin Mary,
being made flesh.

The Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ ... according to the flesh.

"What the ancient evidence will show you is that ancient western culture had a conceptual model of the universe, and ancient Christianity adopted that model. Ancient Pagans believed in various levels of divinity, with miraculous powers, coming down and going up to its home in the sky. Divine beings cared about people, listened to and answered their prayers. Gave them the power to prophesy. Even gave them a better deal in the eternal life that comes after death.

"Christianity and ancient western culture share many deep and fundamental ideas. Ideas at the core of the Christian myth."
