Also consider the fact pretty much all of those on the Forbes 400 are Christians.

Granted, some of these people inherited, rather than earned their wealth, but so what. Look at the amounts of money people like Bill Gates donate every year.
These people don't contact Forbes going "Look at me, I can wipe my *** with a $100 dollar bill". Forbes does the research, and publishes that list independently.
Face facts: in a capitalist society (and one that espouses freedom at every turn), there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to climb the financial ladder. The truth is, these people have done nothing wrong, while our leaders would rather give hand outs, instead of tools for others to better themselves.
Maybe a better question would be: "Why are we, as a nation (by way of the American government), so involved with the poor and downtrodden of other nations, while we have kids, right here at home, who go to bed hungry?"

Forbes list is not a scandal. It's factual, that's why people are dying of hunger.
They have all the money, billion and trillions of dollars accumulated within 500 people. So are Catholic churches having billions of dollars of wealth.
Having said that, Top 3 people including Bill Gates have donated more than $50 billion to poor countries and they have helped fighting poverty more than Government has ever done.

True!!!....
Hence in Islam there is the system of Zakat. Meanging that anyone who owns wealth worth more than 85 grams of Gold has to give 2.5% of his or her execess savings every year. If all people in the world follow this compulsion, I bet no one in the world will die of hunger. Its petty that even alot of rich muslims dont follow this tooo.

Let's just hope they do give out some of their wealth anonymously. But there's just something wrong in declaring their wealth in stupid magazines when these people are surrounded by poverty all around.
And don't forget to mention, x theist, that Bill Gates and the other guy Warren Buffet are atheists.
