My ex's best friend came to talk to me. After a bit of chitchat she started grilling about my love life. Am I single? Do I love someone? ,etc. I refused to answer because that would be like telling my ex herself. I'm madly in love with her but for previous problems it would hurt my pride to make the first move.
But, do girls act like that on their own initiative? Why would my ex's friend ask me such things?
What would be the best answer: a) Single and I'm madly in love with b) I'm single and looking c) Single not looking d) I'll take a vow of celibacy.

Thanks,
MS

My goodness! That girl is overstepping her bounds! You are dead right to refuse to answer. She is breaking one of the unwritten rules that you do NOT interfere with a best friend's ex. That's a big no-no.

So you can reply with dignity... "why do you want to know? You are being very personal." and leave it at that.

Divulge NO details.

If you are interested in getting back together with your ex then you should let her best friend know, or better yet let your ex know. Her friend may have been asking because she is nosy or another friend is interested, or your ex put her up to it.

your answer should not make any difference to your ex's friend. i think your should be the first one, might be your ex's friend may help you to start a new move.

Just tell her that you are doing fine, and excuse yourself from the conversation.
