Keep him in your heart and one day he may come looking for you. Until then you can remember him but leave him to live his life . I don;t think....unless the laws have changed that you can barge into his life once the adoption papers have been signed.....
I hope that one day he does come to find you.

Your girlfriend, at the time, gave up the baby the two of you created. He has been adopted by a couple. You and your ex are very young and you ex made a very difficult decision. She choose to do what is in the baby's best interests. In your question all I heard was me, me, me. Which shows the more mature action? Your son is loved and cared for. Perhaps you would do well to just leave him. Make sure that social services always has a current address for you. Write him one last letter telling him you love him but you want him to have a wonderful childhood and grow up to be a fine man. This way when he is old enough he will know where to find you and will know that you loved him enough to let him grow up with two parents who were mature enough to raise a child.

Are you on the birth certificate? If so, yes you do have rights, if not it will make it so much more difficult, even impossible to change the situation. Yes the law sucks, but its the way it is until someone who wasnt educated in Eton or cambridge starts changing things.
Go and see a decent family solicitor. If you dont know any, go to citizens advice. They should help you.
If you signed your child away however, just get on with your life. its a decision you will have to live with.

You can not walk into a child's life now, what about his new parents, it's not fair on any of them. Leave a letter on file at the social services with your details and when your son is older and if he wants to find you then he will know he can.

If you did not agree to give up your child, I would seek the advice of an attorney. There is a chance that you may have a legal right to see your child.

it's good for both of u not to keep any connection. Hold on your emotional feelings and let him live a new life at new place. It's better u move to another country or just very far from him otherwise he can not live his life peacefully

Hi,
if you are unsure about your rights, go to the citizen advice bureau, they should be able to help.
If there is nothing you can do, its time to leave it, and just hope that your son gets in touch with you in the future.
