"green-eyed gal"..with that language I don't think you really are a gal! How dare you use such filth! I asked a question and I didn't require a rude, vulgar answer. Shame on you.

Thanks to all answers except for one in particular (hint: look above) but other than that one, they're all great answers and in a way I agree with all of you -who didn't reply rudely- . Keep them coming... :)

Well, on the serious answers i don't really think about best answer. I more or less just try to give out really good advise. Sometimes it works and sometimes it don't.
But there are times i do try, but i realized that its when i don't try, those are the times i usually get picked for best answer.

I only answer questions that I have some knowledge about. I rarely try to be the best answer, unless that is what most of the other answers were doing. If I get a best answer, it was because I just so happened to do that.

I try to answer the question to the best of my ability. But the points is always presence in my mind.

I guess we all want to be rewarded for a job well done. I hope we would take the time and give of ourselves if points or any other type of incentive were not given.

Oh, I am so guilty. I really strive to give good answers. I really like getting chosen for best answer. It just thrills me when that happens. I'm always pondering on how to give the best answer. I hope that doesn't make me sound TOO pathetic. Lol.

I just answer the question to the best of my ability. I don't care very much about aiming to get the best answer.

Serious questions I answer to the best of my ability, silly ones I answer whatever pops in my head, it's nice to get chosen as best answer but being chosen or not has nothing to do with my answers.

I don't try to give the best answer. I just answer the question. My two points to proceed leveling up is good enough for me.

I really like to be chosen as the best answer, but I try to to share my knowledge with others first.

actually, i love yahoo answers because it gives me the opportunity to evaluate my values and beliefs, to see more clearly who i am. it's in the reading and answering that my truth becomes clear to me. when i start to write, i usually don't know everything i'm going to say. i just start and it comes pouring out of my heart. i feel honored when God uses my experiences to help others. sooooo..... my goal is to be true to myself, and help others if possible. it's a 'pay it forward' thing. i've been so blessed to have loving people help me through the traumas in my life. i say thank you, naturally, but it's not enough.

does this answer your question?

I answer the question honestly, pretty much what i really think whenever i read the question. I dont really shoot for being the best, i give them my perspective. but i also dont just answer it w/o a care. i care about the questions i answer! =)
