The truth is that American companies are hiring illegal immigrants because of cheap labor. They are very greedy. If no illegals existed in the US, they would find some other way: like moving out to India, Malaysia, or some other country.

Americans would lose their jobs anyway. Therefore I think the problem is: American companies. A new American corporate culture should be taught at schools, and new values should be taught to children in order to create a society that not only thinks in money terms, in terms of how much I am going to lose or win, but also in terms of their nation.

Fed and fueled. And the GOVERNMENT can do something about this by enforcing laws against hiring people who are undocumented. Capitalism and the corporate culture are a-moral and multinational, by it's nature it is only concerned with maximizing profits. It's the public sector leaders of our country who must think in terms of the national interest.

I'm for free trade but companies want cheap labor by hiring illegal immigrants. Yes, the immigration problem has alot to do with American companies. OK, companies have a right to profit but shouldn't the employers hire Americans or legal residents instead? A company is never more important than your country. Companies are hurting the average Joe and it's not fair that we keep on suffering. Once we can get tough laws on employers, then I think we can start to do something. Thanks! (By the way, I caught the trick. OK, we should blame all companies).

Why is it "greedy" for a company to want profit? After all, that's the entire purpose of a business, isn't it? Companies don't exist to provide you jobs. Jobs exist to provide the people who own the company with financial gains. Would you ever call yourself "greedy" for leaving a low-paying job for a high-paying job? Businesses do exactly the opposite - they aim to hire workers cheaply without sacrificing so much quality that profit suffers. Cheap labor keeps consumer costs down, too. Maybe you can afford to shop at high-end stores, but I can't. I'm on a tight budget and I enjoy low-cost goods.

If one looks at "world politics" and not just the"American" politico situation - you will see that we are headed for a one world economy that will lead to a one world governmental body. Who can get afford to do this? The few truely rich families through out the world - they don't have to worry about where jobs are located, how many people (races) live in what countries, and whether the people kill each other in those countries to survive for the meager jobs and space that will be left behind.

Its fed by politicians wanting votes and business wanting cheap labor

in the end business will lose
they will realize too late that their greed outweighed their common sense once the dollar that blinds them is pulled out from in front of their eyes

politicians will win, well whichever side can cater to them the most

they came here looking for an easier way of life, and it will be made extremely easy once the politicians get through with them

Absolutely!!!!!! I believe the entire problem could be solved if the companies and their managers/officers who hire illegals were subjected to the same punishment that drug dealers are. They are doing far more damage to the country then pot dealers.

I believe if Swift would have had their plant confiscated and the Plant Manager would have gone to prison for 25 years then the other companies would get the picture.

Then we would not have to deport the illegals. Without economic incentive they would find their way home on their own.

Companies are in business to make money. Just because the illegals work cheaper in some cases does not make it the fault of the company only. They are both at fault.

I think employers are the largest issue when it comes to illegals. They are actually committing criminal acts!

One sweat shop factory in Mass had over 300 hired (and none were Mexicans)! They fined them if they had to use the rest room and worked them 12 hours a day! The company had a no bid government contract to make body armor, among othe things.

Another in Texas, the #1 maker of MRE's in America who had a $94 Million dollar no bid government contract, had hired over 200 of them, forging their work papers!

There has been a ton of them busted!

Corporations don't care about nations. Not any longer. America doesn't even own America anymore!

I agree completely that the "problem" is created by corporations looking for and exploiting an underclass. But what you propose as a solution is what China and many others tried to do. It's called communism. I don't think it will work either.
