how many navy wives out there? how do u do it?

im going into the navy, and considering career, but afraid i'll never find someone to marry and have a family due to my career choice

Navy wives have it the best because we only deploy for 6 months maybe 7 tops. We have e-mail most of the time and even have "Sailor Phones" onboard ship.
You will find a good woman to marry, but your best bet is marrying another female Sailor. SHe will understand the lifestyle and not give you a bunch of crap on your duty day or while you are out to sea.
Look out for civilain woman who marry Sailors or military guys in general. They are normally gold diggers and giant ho's. They marry you for your military pay and benefits and so you get them away from whatever crappy place they are living in. Happens all the time. Do not date or marry some civilian chic you met at a club or bar not matter how great you think she is. Talk to your Chief's about this stuff they will warn you with first hand experience.
The best one though is the woman you marry weighs however many pounds. Within a few short years she ends up weighing 400 pounds. No kidding here! I am a Navy wife, but I am also active duty. Guys onboard will talk about how hot their wives are and then when you pull into port all you can see is a sea of 400+ pound nearly nakes fatty wives. Not sure why the Navy wives are so huge. I just had twins and never got as big as some of these woman even when I was fully pregnant. Also, look out for the ones that will spend you into the next century with credit cards you knew about and all the ones they hide from you. Happens all the time to all kinds of Navy guys.
Try to find a nice girl with good values you respects you and loves you for who you are. Lots of good and nice Navy girls out there.

It is *not* easy. I think I understand better than many, as I'm prior Navy myself... and even *knowing* and understanding what he's going thru, I still have a tough time staying behind. Though I'm told thats just because I have salt in my veins and gave my heart to the sea before I got married....

It is hard, and not everyone is strong enoughto be a military spouse. You do it because you have to, and you want to,
Don't worry about finding someone to share your life with, it will happen in due course.

hun you will find someone there are plenty of women out there that are prepared to go into a military relationship. Just becarful of the ones that want to do it because of the benefits... I myself only date military guys and no its not because of the benefits its because its all i know. Just be patient and the perfect woman will come along

You'll find someone. Many women find men in uniform irrestible, and it's not just because of the uniform! Men who serve represent honor, courage, maturity..all things that women look for in a guy and that can sometimes be hard to find.
Do what makes you happy, and you'll find someone. Thanks for your service.
