I haven't driven a vehicle in a year...

But then again that's mostly because I wrecked my car...

But still, I'm doing my part ;D

You bet! I've got my solar powered, chlorofluorocarbon-free shelter stocked with plenty of organic foods and politically correct Greenpeace literature that explains how i can live in harmony with mother earth. And once the big flood comes and kills those evil non believers....it will be utopia!

Wrecking your car is one way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Now, if we all wrecked our cars and trashed our houses the world would be much better of for it.

Whilst I can see an advantage to destroying everything and living in a cave it doesn't really appeal so instead I'll continue recycling where possible, driving that bit less, conserving energy and thinking about products and services before buying them.

Last year we (a friend and I) engaged in a large scale tree planting programme, enough to offset the carbon emissions of 25,000 people for a year. It's a cost-effective and rewarding way to go carbon negative for life.

Notice how everyone who claims to be "doing their part" is still a net contributor to the buildup of atmospheric greenhouse gases? The only people who truly are "doing their part" are the ones who live off the land in isolation from industrialized society. People like the Amish are the only folks I would say are close to 99% "green", and they are written off by the Yahoo! community as religious nuts.

Lol. Nice going there champ. If you had not have wrecked your car, I would be under water!

Am I doing my part? Not a thing. Actually I am trying to use more waste product and drive SUV's and stuff. I have to make up for all the slacking greenies!

Plant one NEEM sapling on 1st Sunday of every month at the place where you feel there should be a big tree. Ensure that it is watered regularly. It does not need any manure and animals do not eat its leaves since it is bitter. But it has medicinal properties in abundance. It is green in hot summer.

You could just get a hybrid, they have some with 35+ mpg, some even 60+,but yes I am doing my part by turn out lights, using florescent bulbs, and more.

forget the hybrids, the only good they really do are reduce our dependence for foreign oil.

the best thing to do is get an auto that gets good gas mileage or a scooter, they are cheap.
change your light bulbs to more energy efficient ones, and recycle.
