Window Activation without a phone?

Question

So, Trying to activate windows over the internet and I dont have phone acess in my dorm.
The online activation doesnt work for some reason.
Anyone know how to do it?

Just walk through the activation wizard until it gives you the 8 sets of characters. Write them down, and go somewhere and call. The automated phone system will ask for those characters, and gives you a set of 8 back. Return to you computer and enter them. You should be in business.

Maybe you can borrow someones cell phone...

What version of Windows are you trying to activate? If it is older, like Windows 95 or 98, I believe that support for them was discontinued. If it is newer, like Windows Vista or XP, then the activation should work fine if you have internet access and you have entered the valid CD KEY CODE. If your Windows is not activated, you will see an annoying reminder on your task bar, and a pop up that constantly reminds you to activate.
