Avoidance of what is causing the allergy is the best thing. You did not list your allergies so it is hard to be more specific. For instance if you have a dust allergy, then I would suggest things like getting hardwood floors, allergen tight mattress/pillow covers, etc.

I would recommend you use the powerful antioxidant Isotonix OPC-3. It is a natural supplement containing the three antioxidants grape seed extract, red wine extract, and another powerful antioxidant called Pycnogenol which is a natural plant extract from the bark of the maritime pine tree which grows exclusively along the coast of southwest France. Pycnogenol is the main antioxidant in OPC-3 that will help with your allergies and asthma. All three antioxidants are put into one supplement hence the name OPC-3. The supplement is in isotonic form when mixed with the right amount of water so you receive superior delivery and absorption in your body. it’s isotonic capable, meaning it’s the same pH levels of the other fluids in your body such as your blood, plasma, tears, etc. isotonic capable supplements are the next best thing to IV (when doctors inject medication immediately into your blood stream) or the shots you're receiving now; when you drink a supplement that’s isotonic your stomach does not have to change it to match your body, it enters your small intestines within minutes. If your allergies are acting up, on an empty stomach once you take OPC-3 you will feel the relief within minutes because the body does not have to break down a pill or change the pH level, it is absorbed right away.
All the information on OPC-3 can be found at http://www.marketamerica.com/blittrean/index.cfm?action=shopping.wpProductNoShop&prodID=13007
At your local health and nutrition stores they sell OPC or OPC-1 for more money, and you only receive anywhere from 30% to 40% of what’s on the nutrition label due to the fact the supplement is not Isotonic capable. OPC-3 is also the only antioxidant with Pycnogenol.

Hope this helped

Magnesium has been shown to relieve constricted airways in the lungs and reduce bronchial discomfort associated with allergies. Some food sources are almonds, chocolate, sunflower seeds, spinach, and avocado.

Also important in allergy relief is Quercetin, an allergy-fighting compound. Quercetin reduces inflammation, prevents the release of histamine, and blocks allergic reactions to pollens. Foods such as kale, spinach, and cherries are good sources of quercetin.

Allergy sufferers should also become familiar with ginger. Ginger is a natural antihistamine and decongestant that may provide relief from allergy symptoms by dilating constricted bronchial tubes.

Apricots make a delicious snack that contain impressive amounts of beta-carotene, a carotenoid that can help maintain optimal respiratory and immune function.

Certain foods increase the mucus in your body and this in turn can increase the chance of allergic reactions......Dairy is one of these foods.

Taking digestive enzymes prior to each meal can help dramatically with allergies because these help your body digest the food you eat more effeciently.

Keep yourself well rested since you will have a stronger resistance when your body is rested than if you are tired.

Drink plenty of fluids.

These are the first steps I would take, see how they work for you.

Of course, try to avoid those things that you know bring on an allergic reaction.

I know of two things you can do: first get a good air purifier, second you can go to an allergist and get allergy desensitation shots. These are not medication; they are a tiny fraction of the things to which you are allergic. They slowly increase the dosage until it is the strength to which you are exposed naturally.

100% raw vegan diet. All you have to buy is food from the store. Read about this guys experience:
http://www.thegardendiet.com/shannon.html

Also, juice fasting with fresh raw juices that you extract at home with your own juicer is wonderful. You can't use juices from the store becaus ethe enzymes are dead, so their no good for you. Read about it here:

Also, carpet is the number one thing inside the home that causes allergy flare ups. Carpet is evil, and should be ripped out of your house asap.

Namaste.

I have really abd allergies. Every morning my mouth is dry, my nose is stuffy, and my throat hurts. When i was a kid, i had a moisturizer in my room. (is that what its called?) You put water in this machine and it turns into water vapor, opening your synthisis. Which helps the allergies drain more.^_^ Hope that helps.

I have TERRIBLE allergies. The only thing that worked for me was allergy prescription, which I quit taking because I hate taking pills. But when you get into sneezing mode, keep a wet, cool rag over your nose and mouth, maybe one on your eyes if your eyes are bothering you. Otherwise Sudafed for the runny nose and Claritin or benedryl for the other symptoms, although benedryl makes me soooo drowsy! But Claritin doesn't always work for me. Hope this helps.
