I believe they're going to Michigan this weekend, correct? Goodyear hasn't been good to my boy, Jimmie Johnson, lately. He's been blowing tires left and right, and it cost him two positions in points. Hopefully he can make that up in Michigan. Ok, ante up folks..........who's your pick for this weekend?

I'm a Jimmie Johnson fan as well but I think his blowout issues have been due to contact and debris (basically bad luck). I think he'll be in the top 5-10 but once again look for the Roush cars up front. My pick is Carl Edwards but either Matt or Greg could sneak in a win as well. One other team to watch will be the Evernham cars, especially Kasey Kahne, they are going back to the last year's Charger nose to try and salvage what is left of this season.

This week could be different from almost every other race up to this point. I'm not talking favorite drivers here - rather the drivers who have a chance to win and shake things up a bit. Chevy is 0 for its last 11 at Michigan - With Ford and Dodge roughly splitting the rest. With that in mind, it might be time to pick a Ford or Dodge driver in an upset. Here's who I think is worth checking out:

1) Matt Kenseth (very quietly having an awesome year)
2) Ryan Newman
3) Kasey Kahne (longshot, really needs to show something at some point)

Anybody driving a Ford. MIS has been a good track for Ford over the years. I believe Bill Elliot holds the record number of wins there, am I right?

I am going to go for the long shot this weekend.

Kasey Kahne

Evernham is bringing their 2006 stuff this weekend. We remember Kasey at these type tracks last year don't we?

My brain tells me Gordon.
I'm hoping for Kasey Kahne to win.
Kinda want Tony Stewart to win too, because then the mood in my house will be lot better.
(A Kasey Kahne fan is trapped in a house of AVID Stewart fans. :P)
