"The Talk" is not exclusively good OR bad, as many of these users implied, though the phrase is generally associated with moving to the next phase of the relationship.

Having "the talk" means having a serious discussion about your relationship, where you stand and where you're headed.

Common examples:
- becoming exclusive
- moving in together
- getting married

Well, it could mean that someone is about to break off the relationship and before they do they have to explain how they feel about them and how they want it to work but the arguing and not getting is taking a it's strain and they have to move on. They might say that just because were breaking up don't mean that we can't be friends or go out sometimes. They just need they space and time to decide what they want and if they are ready to settle down. They may sat it's not it's me and I need time to my self and we need to be apart for awhile, to grow up and try to better ourselves if we can continue this relationship. If any of this happens jsut be strong I may be wrong anything else would be surprise. And another thing they may say that they are pregnant surprise!!!!
