I don't know that gambling is always a sin or not but Pascals Wager is not gambling. You have to make a choice. Either seek your Creator to find your real meaning and purpose in life or be your own little god and continually make up whatever pleases you at the moment.

Ah the rules of Christianity taken out of context again. Sure there are many Preachers who list gambling in their sin list next to drinking and cussing and smoking. The fact is that these rules are meant to be guides for living a healthier life and show a clear distinction between the believer and the world. Any gambling addict would tell you that excessive gambling is destructive just like a person who is coughing their lungs out would tell you that their smoking 2 packs a day was not good for them.
However if you look at gambling or random ways of determining things in the Bible you find that Jonah was discovered by casting lots as was the final Apostle after Judas betrayed the cause. So although a few preachers might pound the pulpit, there are instances of very religious men who took part in games of chance.
Since this rules out this behavior as a sin, this question is now ruled invalid.

Gambling is not the same thing as looking at the situation and rationalizing what would be the best choice in the matter, which is what Pascal's Wager does.

Wow. It better not be. All those born agains are gambling that the horrible and judgemental way they behave is going to be "rewarded" in "heaven" when they die.
If that isn;t the biggest gamble of all I don't know what is.

What theists fail to realize is that Pascal's Wager actually increase the odds that they're wrong about God. THAT would be the sin.

Yep. Pascal's Wager assumes that the god that exists actually accepts people who believe them because of a bet. But since religion's sins and rules are quite "flexible" so to speak, meaning they can be broken when it's convenient; the Christians don't see any problem with it.

Why do people insist on bringing this up? Pascal's Wager is nonsense. Not worth talkin about. Does not even make sense. First of all there is no god. But if there were a god wouldn't he she or it have enough sense to know that someone is pretending to believe in said god? This is utter and complete BULL$hit
