I think if a woman was extremely flat chested I could understand an implant. I tend to understand more the idea of reduction for the reasons other people have mentioned. Reducing back problems and self-consciousness. Especially if one's breasts are disproportionately larger to the rest of the body. Generally though i wish we could get away from thinking theres a perfect ideal body type

If a persons breasts are so large that they cause physical pain or significantly interfere with a persons life, then yes, they should have surgery.

The difference between reduction and augmentation is that...
1) Reduction for the above reasons is not a vanity issue
2) Reduction does not introduce anything foreign into the body that could cause health issues.
3) It would definitely reduce the number of men who get hit on at the beach, which we really don't need.

I saw the previous question that you're referring to.

I don't go along with breast implants. Yet, breast reductions. . . I personally feel that's fine.

My understanding of why a person might want a breast reduction is . . .
.
So others will put primary focus on the woman...not her especially enhanced breasts.
.
Back and shoulder aches.
.
Frustrations in finding clothes that will fit to her liking.
.
I see those reasons much more valid than breast implants.
.
Just my opinion.
.

My friend wore a double H cup and she had a breast reduction. Was a great relief to her. She had back and shoulder pain that go to the point that it was much more than just uncomfortable. She's a lot happier.

I think that it is fine and that people shouldn't have to remain in pain if there is a possible "cure" or fix.

Breast reductions are done mostly because of health issues. Back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain, grooves in your shoulders from heavy breasts, rashes under your breasts, lots of health issues arise from big breasts.

I actually had a breast reduction Feb 2006 and for anyone who has big breasts and back pain this will greatly help you!

I agree totally with what printninja says about implants... I for one am not for them. I know lots of guys who hate the feel of implants and love "just a handful". Not all guys like big breasts! I feel people get implants because they feel they don't look right, or because they are teased, or because they think it will get a guy.

I'm all for body reduction! My Aunt had a breast reduction done years ago to save her shoulders and back.

Breast reduction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

The people I know who have had a reduction are SOOOOO happy they did it. It reduced their back problems and made them feel less self conscious and happier with themselves.

its your body. Do what makes you happy, no one wants to be unhappy. If you think that "GOD" made you a certain way, and you shouldn't change it, than you should just shove a pencil in your eye right now... thats about how much sence that makes. I'm not talking to you directly. Good queshtion btw =)
