I am very happy and married. My males co-workers and I discuss this time to time and alot of them think that the woman should pay half for a dinner date during courtship, etc. I did not have to pay 90% of the time with different dates even though I offered. I am an independent, professional college educated woman, and I appreciate those men who have courted me. I have paid for a birthday dinner, etc for a boyfriend or my husband of course. Is this really the way men and women think?

Jeez, I'd never make her pay for a date, personally, I think thats really poor of a man to ask a girl to pay for dinner, no I definatly don't think that the money should be split.

About 50% of the guys out there think so. If the sexes are equal, that is what equal is....50/50 for each.
