Since this is the "Religion & Spirituality" section, why are there so many atheists that come and just put down, what those who believe in religion/spirituality? I mean if I were an atheist, I would probably go the the science section or sports or culture or what ever, but I wouldn't waste my time bashing people who believe in things I don't... Can I have some honnest answers please, not more bashing or idiot answers just to score points? I am realy wondering?

Bingo Pajama,
THat's my point, I'm not homosexual and I don't go bashing them on their section. That would be useless and more over, it could be mean to them. I am not pro homosexuality, but I don't put those who are gay down... (that would be another debate)!!! So what's the interest for atheists to be here? other than not proving their point but most of those who come here are just acting mean! (that's not helping their cause at all!)

Why do so many Christians troll the gay and lesbian section to preach (or, more specifically, promise hellfire to gays)?

Athiests and Agnostics (neither of which am I, mind you) have every right to talk about this belief. And it is a belief, just as much as your faith is a belief. I may not think that they believe in the right thing but they think the same of me.

When it comes to just bashing people, that is just wrong but honestly I have seen that coming more from Christians who claim to be well-meaning than Athiests and Agnostics (many of whom are just angsty teens and sort of new to the philosophy and religion game anyway).

They come to this section because they want to persuade people to disbelieve. They want to mock and make fun of somebody because they do believe in God. I believe the devil persuades them to do this. It makes them feel justified in their actions and their beliefs. It's like they are trying to still persuade themselves that the beliefs they are holding to are really the correct ones. They are insecure. So there you have it. Read the Book of Mormon in 1 Nephi. There is a dream recorded about a tall and spacious building where the people of the world mocked all those who were seeking to be true followers of Christ. You can get a free Book of Mormon by going to http://www.mormon.org/mormonorg/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=8215055b23710110VgnVCM1000003a94610aRCRD&locale=0&sourceId=b6a7ba4531f12110VgnVCM100000176f620a____

Mormons are Christians and we have a lot of answers. I hope you will read the book. It is very good.

"Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life."I John 5:10-12
God's word says this:"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him."John 3:36

Why do you care? If you don't believe in God then it doesn't matter what we say.

You either have a fundamental misunderstanding of religion (that religious beliefs are based off of faith) or you are just another atheist that, rather than not having a religion, prefers to turn atheism into an active movement to preach against having a God.
you cant .

The category is "Religion & Spirituality", not, " Believers in Religion & Spirituality". In any other category you will find answers on both sides of a particular issue. Religious people only want to hear answers on their side of Religion & Spirituality.

Can't speak for the various motivations of all atheists, but I'm on a mission to save as many souls as I can from religious indoctrination, damnation and hypocrisy. I'm sure you fundies understand the concept of missionaries and their quests?

Someone's gotta' try and spare or mitigate the impact you loonies try to exact on the minds of the innocent.

No Kings..No Queens..No Gods..No Monsters

Now, stop your whining and get used to it. We're not going away, ever.

Here is the funny version:

"Johhny Athiest got on Yahoo! Answers and said "Well, let me see what this "Religious room is about." So, johnny clicked and lo! Behold! He was agast by the questions of God and Faith. So Johhny sat back and said, "For the good of evolution, I want to convert these Jesus luvin', Bible thumpin', Love your enemy, (How the hell you gonna love yer enemy when he's stabbing you?) Type of "Person." They need to be saved by the flawed facts of science. They need to hear the "Gospel of the Theories." (Can I get an "A-thiest" from the people???) Let them be saved by the power of chance. Let them know that IS your relative at the zoo behind bars. Do not be ashamed of your Ape brothers. *Charleton Heston wasn't. Matter of fact, I think he kissed one..." Ok I'm done...LoL

The Religion and Spirituality section is in my opinion a place to discuss religion and spirituality.

It's my understanding that those " atheists " that you speak of feel an obligation to educate and/or steer others in the " right " direction...so, they come here.

Or . . . In their core...they do wonder that their might be something to what others here are speaking of. . . so they come and " listen " while ' stirring ' the dust a bit.

That's fine . . .Peace to all on whatever journey they're on.

Every topic in yahoo is for public views and answers. Everyone can share their opinions even though it's silly.
