all coaches recognize great passers. hands down, is the most important skill to have. give him some money passes when you guys work on serve receive drills, or playing queen of the court, or having a practice match. your setter will also prolly suggest you to the coach if you make her job easier by passing so well. ^_^. good luck, hope this helped

How tall are you? If you're short, that might be why, and I totally understand, because I'm 5'2.
That being said: you have to do all the right things and have the right look to make the team. Do you own the spandex volleyball shorts and/or have a volleyball camp t-shirt. This will give you a definite vball player look. Whatever you do, don't show up in a shirt, or jeans, or a flimsy little tank-top, and wear your hair back, you have to look the part.
Next, for the skills, can you overhand serve? That's nearly an automatic ticket on the team, they love that, so if you can't, really work on it. Control is key, you don't want them to see you chasing balls everywhere. And my biggest secret to success, pair up with someone half decent, that can really make you look shaby if your partner sucks.
You sound like you're pretty good already, so just keep working on it, go to some camps or something, and SHINE!

You don't need to do anything to get your coach to notice you because your coach sees EVERYTHING you do, even when you think they didn't.
But the best thing to do is to make yourself stand out in his head, like having a different attitude or different, odd colored clothes.
Make sure to give everything your best effort, and give your best drive toward wanting that spot on your team. Don't ever be nervous around a coach, because choking will never help you make that spot.
And always remember to be confident that you'll get that spot, because volleyball is a mental game. If you think you are doing bad, usually, you'll end up doing worse.
Good luck making the team! Hope this helped.

Do your best....and keep trying really hard. Even if something is easy for you, make it look like your trying...but don't "show off" and try too hard...or it will look like you're looking for attention! Also, communicate on the court...coaches like to hear people talking to each other, calling the ball, and being supportive (even if someone/you makes an error). Also, be very coachable...if your coach wants to try something new...just try it, even if it's foreign to you (coaches like people they can easily work with)! Hopes this helps....good luck!

Hang in there, sweetheart. Your coach will have to notice you, so show them that you can most definitely do every volleyball drill known to womankind, as well as being the best volleyball player in the world. Keep practicing your volleyball playing and techniques and you will be fine. Good Luck, and Go Get 'Em, Tiger!!!!!

You may feel that you are good but you need others to see that.
1) Make sure you play for the team, not as an individual. In a sport like volleyball, teamwork is greatly appreciated, sometimes more than individual skills.
2) Be positive on the court and encourange your team to win all the time.
3) BE CONSISTENT. Many people who think they are good (including myself ;) drop their consistency in things which they consider to be good at. Make sure you give 100% of your effort throughout ALL of the match/practise session
4) Finally... play well ;]

Do your best on the court & don't think about u will be notice or not.
CONCENTRATION is important. People will notice that, too.
(I am a very good poker player, that doesn't mean I win a lot.
I can buff very well on the poker table but that doesn't mean others can't read my buff.)
I don't mean to be rude but IF you can look at it this way.. .. .. What do you mean "you know you are really good"? That should be said by someone, not yourself.
Because the standard is set by someone else, YOU don't have the say & YOU can do your best and not be noticed.
So, again, do your BEST on the court.
Have fun

Just keep trying on EVERY play. Run between drills when almost everyone else is walking. (For example, the hitting line. Very few people run to chase down their hit. Run to chase down your hit and get back in line.) Listen to your coach line they were going to give you a clue to finding a million dollars.
That will help you get noticed.

Hustle the entire tryouts. Call the ball really loud when you are doing your drills. Wear a bright colored shirt, like bright pink or orange. Coaches notice those people more.
